Needing to learn another language is always hard and we believe that it shouldn’t be made harder by being unable to find safe places to learn or teach. Your local library houses tutors and all the resources you need to become fluent in English as a second language. Many of you have heard of ESL by word of mouth or running across it on the website, perhaps even by other advertising. ESL or ELA are free classes given by trained tutors in a friendly and safe environment.
Most locations have some form of ESL class, calling your local library and asking about classes is probably your best bet to finding more accurate information. Classes will range from 1 to 10 students and last between 1 to 2 hours. Each location will have a different time that they allot for these lessons but most will only have classes online at the moment due to the pandemic.
You do have to have some basic knowledge of English to register for classes.
