Interested in computer classes?  We have two great classes coming up this week!

Friday, April 25th 1:00 PM Beginning Word-- Are you looking to type a paper, compose a letter, or make a homemade greeting card? Then Microsoft Word 2013 is the program for you! Learn the basic layout and tools of Microsoft Word 2013 while exploring what this program can do for you. This class is designed for beginner computer users.

Friday, April 25th 3:30 PM Beginning Excel-- Do you need a program to organize your data or create spreadsheets?  Why not try Microsoft Excel 2013! Join us to learn the basic layout and tools of Microsoft Excel 2013 while exploring what this program can do for you. This class is designed for beginner computer users.

Free Tax Help

Do you need help filing your taxes?  Let the AARP volunteers file your taxes for free!  But you’ll need to hurry…their time is limited!  They will be here on Tuesday, April 8th; Friday, April 11th; and Tuesday, April 15th from 1:00-5:00 PM.  On Tuesdays, you can sign up at our Information Desk starting at 10:00 AM.  On Friday, the sign-up sheet will be posted on our front door by the AARP volunteers between 12:00 and 12:30 PM.

Do you want to do more to help your community?  Volunteer at the library!  We’ll be having a New Volunteer Orientation next Monday, April 7th at 6:30 PM.  You’ll learn more about the volunteer opportunities available at the library.  All ages are welcome, though anyone under the age of 12 must volunteer with a parent or guardian who has also attended the orientation.  You can pick up an application at the Information Desk!

Savvy Stitchers

knittingDo you enjoy knitting, crochet, or other yarn arts?  Then you should stop by the Savvy Stitchers!  The Savvy Stitchers meet weekly on Thursday at 4:00 PM in our Magazine Area to work on yarn crafts and trade tips and techniques.  All ages are welcome to attend.  Whether you are a novice or an expert, the Savvy Stichers is a great place for you!
