3-D Printing Demonstration

Last Friday, we had a special visit from the 3-D Printer.  We learned more about the process of printing things in 3-D and we were even able to see a tiny cat get printed!  One lucky customer even went home with the printed cat as a memento of the experience.

Tax season may be over, but it’s not too late to say thank you and congratulations to one of our AARP Free Tax Help volunteers, Bill.  Bill has been helping our community get their taxes done for 20 years.  Thank you for all of your hard work, and we hope you’ll stick around for another 20 years!

New Volunteer Orientation

Do you want to do more to help your community?  Volunteer at the library!  We’ll be having a New Volunteer Orientation tonight, April 6th at 6:30 PM.  You’ll learn more about the volunteer opportunities available at the library.  All ages are welcome, though anyone under the age of 12 must volunteer with a parent or guardian who has also attended the orientation.  You can pick up an application at

Underground Railroad Quilt Squares

Join us on Tuesday, February 24th for a special Tuesday Tween Craft honoring Black History Month.  We’ll be making Underground Railroad Quilt Squares.  Come and learn about the special quilts that were used by slaves to communicate information about how to escape to freedom and make your own square to keep!

tax helpAre you stumped by your taxes?  Have your taxes e-filed for free by the wonderful men and women of the AARP!  Please bring copy of last year’s return, W-2 forms from each employer, all 1099s, and receipts or cancelled checks for itemizing.  You must have Social Security card for self and dependents.  First come, first served.
