Volunteer @ the Library

Superhero Summer Madness!

SuperheroesGet ready for Superhero Summer Madness!  Your favorite superheroes will be going head-to-head all summer long, so come and vote and see if the mighty hero you like the most will reign supreme.  All ages are welcome to vote, and there will be several different brackets.  Pick up a ballot and turn in your votes at the Information Desk!  Voting begins next Monday!

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Yoga

Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage month by learning some new yoga poses!  Stop by for yoga on Saturday, May 23rd at 1:00 PM.  It’s free and open to all ages and abilities.

Bear Creek Book Club: Summer Hiatus

The Bear Creek Book Club will be taking a hiatus for the summer.  They will be returning on a new date and time this fall.  They will meet the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM.  Their first meeting will be Monday, September 14th at 7:00 PM to discuss the book The Signature of All Things b

Shake It, Baby!

Does your baby like to shake things and make noise?  If the answer is yes (and if you have a baby, the answer is most likely yes), then your baby will love our Infant Explorers on Thursday, May 7th!  Join us at 10:30 AM and you and your baby can make your very own shaker to keep and have fun with.

3-D Printing Demonstration

Last Friday, we had a special visit from the 3-D Printer.  We learned more about the process of printing things in 3-D and we were even able to see a tiny cat get printed!  One lucky customer even went home with the printed cat as a memento of the experience.

Tax season may be over, but it’s not too late to say thank you and congratulations to one of our AARP Free Tax Help volunteers, Bill.  Bill has been helping our community get their taxes done for 20 years.  Thank you for all of your hard work, and we hope you’ll stick around for another 20 years!
