Grin and Bear It

Coffee BearLast Thursday, our littlest customers got creative at our Infant Process Craft! They created their very own bears using honey, cinnamon, and dry coffee grounds. The use of the textures and scents stimulates the senses—and the bears came out looking cute!
You can make a bear of your own by downloading the template.

Get Crafty!

Bottle Cap MagnetsLast Saturday we had a great craft—we made Bottle Cap Magnets! They’re so easy and fun to make. Here’s what you need…

  • Bottle caps
  • Magazines
  • A Pencil
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • A Quarter
  • Small Magnet

Look through your magazine until you find a small picture you like. It must fit within the size of your Quarter for it to be able to work! If it does, use your Quarter to trace a circle around your picture. Using your scissors, cut the picture out neatly so that it will fit within the inside of the bottlecap.

Enjoy a TAB today!

Harry Potter and the Library Party

Professor TrelawneyOur Harry Potter Party last Thursday was a huge hit!  Kids and young-at-heart adults all enjoyed a whimsical time eating cake, chocolate frogs, and punch.  The celebrants also made their very own wands and Harry Potter glasses while in our candle-lit Great Hall.  We even enjoyed many amazing costumes, such as our very own Professor Trelawney!

Volunteer -- Make a Difference!

Volunteering at your library!

Did you know that in the month of June, volunteers at Bear Creek Library worked a combined 922 hours?  Wow!  So many great things happen at our library because of our amazing volunteers.  We are always looking for new volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer at the library, you can print out our application or come in to the library and ask for one at the reference desk.  You will need to attend a volunteer orientation.  You can find the date and time of any volunteer orientation on our events calendar.  The next volunteer orientation will be Tuesday, August 11th at 5:00 PM.
