We have a quiet beginning to the school year this week. Those too young for school can get a headstart on their education by coming to storytimes: Babies on Monday - Bilingual on Monday - Toddlers on Tuesday - Preschoolers on Thursday. Those already out of school can learn something new at the Knitting & Crochet Club on Wednesday or the Internet Class on Thursday.

Be on the watch next month for our new Monday afterschool hangouts for teens (Junior High & High School)!

Embarrassing Financial Questions

Can I Pay My Credit Card Bill With a Credit CardYou know those times you have a question, and you just can’t bring yourself to ask it – just too embarrassing? Well, when it comes to financial questions, Mary Hunt is answering them for you. Her latest book Can I Pay My Credit Card Bill with a Credit Card is full of hundreds of financial questions and helpful answers.

Are You a Dummie or an Idiot?

For DummiesI’m a Dummie!  I love using the For Dummies series of books whenever I need to learn about a new topic.  I’ve also on occasion used the Idiot’s Guide series.  (I don’t believe you are what you read!)  But, when it comes to learning about computer-related topics, the choices are even greater.

Construction Next Door

Have you noticed the construction going on next door to the Library?  We're getting a City of Katy courthouse.  Stop by and check out the other amenities in our area of Franz Road: police station, dog park, and the Mary Jo Peckham Park

Julie & Julia - The Books

Julie & JuliaDo you like to read the book before the movie comes out?  Or do you see the movie & then the book?  I sometimes find I'm disappointed by the movie because the book is SO much better.
