New Program - Family Storytime!

This coming Tuesday, January 22nd at 6:30 pm and every week after you can come to the Children's Department for a Family Storytime!  We guarantee fun for the whole family as you enjoy books (appropriate for ages 2 - 6), songs, fingerplays and a craft! Call 832.559.4235 for more information!

New Books!

The good news:   it seems that every day we get a delivery of brand new books!  Included is an assortment of the latest picture, fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, series and even Spanish language books.  When you first enter the Children’s area, you will notice a wooden pyramid display to your left.  This is the location where new books are displayed for you to look at and check out.  The bad news: it is first come first served and the new books tend to get checked out very fast!  When returned after their first check out, these books are shelved among the other books in our ever growing Children's collection.  If there is a book that you'd like for your child and it isn't at the Library when you visit, your friendly library staff will be happy to search the catalog, find and request the book of your choice…just ask!

Storytime is Truly an Art Form!

Anyone can “read” a story...but planning and presenting a story time is truly an art form!  Your Tomball Children’s staff carefully selects themes and searches for books, songs, fingerplays, activities and crafts that are age appropriate for the child in attendance.  As always, the number one goal for a storyteller is for your child to have a wonderful experience and leave with a big smile on their face!
