Annual Book Sale

Come one, come all to High Meadows library for our yearly Book Sale! Find discounted books by your favorite authors. We will have paperback and hardcover books that include fiction and non-fiction. We will also be having DVD's, VHS, and some special items for purchase. Make your way to our book sale on Thursday November 7, 2013 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. School is in session and the 2013 Summer Reading Program has sadly come to an end. We had a great time and below are just a few pictures capturing some of the fun. If you didn't have a chance to come to our programs this summer, no need to worry. We will be having children's story time every week for toddlers, preschoolers, and babies.

Tuesday: Toddler Time                       1:00 pm -  2:00 pm
Wednesday: Baby Time                      1:00 pm -  2:00 pm
Thursday: Pre-School Story Time      1:00 pm -  2:00 pm

Luau Party!

 

The Summer Reading Program is sadly coming to an end and to celebrate a wonderful summer we are having an End of Summer Reading Luau Party! Come by and enjoy a water slide, food, games, and prizes. This Luau is on Thursday August 8, 2013 from 11:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Don't forget to bring sunblock and be prepared to have a great time! Also, don't forget that the summer reading program officially ends on August 10, 2013.  Just a reminder to log in your minutes or books in order to receive your prizes!   Tell your friends and I'll see you there!!

Kids Cook!

 

 Tomorrow July 17, 2013 we will be having our Kid's Cook program where kids can try their hand at making something delicious and creative! If you haven't stopped by yet you still have time! The Summer Reading Program ends on Saturday August 10th so make it a point to drop by the library to sign up! Don't forget to stop by the library to get your copy of the Summer Reading Program Calender for the month of July and August or check out our online calendar for events!

 

 

Summer Sign-Up Party!

 

Hi folks! Have you signed up for the Summer Reading Program yet? If you haven't yet, we have a great opportunity for you to do just that. On Tuesday July 2, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. we will be having a Summer Reading Program sign up party. We will have volunteers available to help you register so you can win free prizes just for reading. Summer Reading Countdown!

 

Let the countdown begin! The Summer Reading Program is only a few days away so make sure you stop by the library starting June 3rd to register or visit our website from home. The program will run from June 3rd - August 10th. Everyone is invited to participate which means babies, children, teens, and adults. Read books and log in your minutes of reading for a chance to win awesome prizes. Also, come join us for movie days, story times, performers, and crafts! Did I mention this is all FREE? Well, it's free! Don't miss out on this great chance to have a fun and exciting summer. Shadow Puppet Story Time and Craft!

Come join us on Tuesday May 14th for a very special Story Time celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. We will be having a Shadow Puppet Show along with a Fish Kite Craft. The Story Time will begin at 10:30 a.m. If you can't make it to our Story Time, we will also be having a craft later in the day at 4:30 p.m. for anyone who missed out. April Showers!

With April showers spotting around this month, some of us are getting ready for the May flowers to come. Are you a gardener at heart and love planting flowers or vegetables in your spare time? Squirrel Time!

Come enjoy a magical morning of story time, puppet shows, and more here at the High Meadows Library. This Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. our theme for story time will be all about our furry little friends called squirrels. Come sit back, relax, and enjoy our puppet show, followed by silly songs and a craft where you can make a squirrel puppet of your very own! Our story times are open to toddlers and preschoolers alike. If you can't make it this Tuesday, don't fret, our story times are held every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. I hope to see you here!

March 20, 2013 marks the beginning of spring, and with it many spring things. It's the time when you can bring out your swimming suits again, sport those spectacular sun glasses, wiggle your toes in the sand at the beach, and start your spring cleaning! Ok, that last one didn't sound very appealing but there is really no point in avoiding it. I know spring cleaning is just not one of those fun things you wish to do but do not fret because your local library is here to help.
