This Friday - High School Prep!

Are you an eighth grader getting ready to move on to high school? A parent of one? This Friday (10/14) starting at 5pm in the conference room, join us for High School Prep. with Mrs. Lynn Slaughter where she'll cover what you need to know for a great start to a promising high school future. A Great Maker Monday with Cookies!

We had a great time in our home-ec style Maker Monday making tasty peanut butter, chocolate chip, and sugar cookies! They all turned out great.. for the most part. Thanks to all our great bakers and we look forward to our next Maker Monday in November!

Next STEAM Craft: Marshmallow Catapults

For October's STEAM craft we'll be using simple sticks and marshmallows to make candy tossing catapults! Join us in the meeting room next Wednesday (10/5) at 4:30pm for tasty, crafty, science fun!

Day of the Dead Chocolates!

In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we'll be making tasty Day of the Dead chocolates for our last craft of the month! Join us next Wednesday (9/28) in the meeting room at 4:30pm.

SLIME! More STEAM crafts to come!

We had a great time making gooey slime today in our STEAM craft! Out next STEAM craft will the October 5th at 4:30pm in the meeting room, when we'll be making marshmallow catapults!


A Great Craft Day, And More to Come!

We had a great crafty time today making fluffy birds in bird nests. Our next craft will be next Wednesday (9/21) at 4:30pm, and we'll be making gooey slime. This is a STEAM craft, so think science!


This Saturday: A Peek into Hispanic Hidden History

Join us this Saturday (9/17) starting at 3pm in the meeting room, when Sonia Hernandez, film curator for The University of Houston Clear Lake, will talk about the little known history of Hispanic Americans, immigrants, and their contributions to our society.

Next Friday, Learn Coding Online for Free, Part 1

Want to learn how to speak computer? Next Friday (9/16) we will learn to program with SCRATCH, an easy-to-use programming language, to build games, animated stories and more. The class is for adults, Kids and teens ages 8-16 and startes in the computer lab at 3:30pm.

New Family Search Classes!

Curious about your ancestry? Want to know more about your family roots? Join us for our new Family Search classes where we'll learn how to navigate the software and dive deeper into your genealogy. Our first class is this coming Thursday (9/8) starting at 1:30pm in the Computer Lab.
