Registración Para Clases de Ingles

La biblioteca de North Channel está aceptando aplicaciones para adultos que quieren aprender a leer, hablar, y escribir en Ingles. Clases son gratis y son ensenados por voluntarios entrenados. No importa que lenguaje habla los voluntarios le puedan ayudar. Clases son disponibles durante el día y por la tarde. Por favor pregunte en la biblioteca por una aplicación. El coordinador de programa le hablara unos días después de entregar la aplicación para ponerlo en la clase apropiada. Las clases comenzaran pronto. Para más información por favor de hablarnos a: 281-457-1631

monday movie madness!!

Join us after school on Monday, October 11th at 4:30 pm for Monday Movie Madness! Elementary school aged children may attend on their own. For younger children, we ask that a parent stay in the Meeting Room with them throughout the movie. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks with lids to the movies. Come to the North Channel Branch Library Saturday, October 9th, to learn how to create beautiful scrapbooks! Our resident expert, Mia, shares her knowledge from 10 am to 3 pm the second Saturday of every month. She also brings in numerous die-cuts to share. special kids craft : telling stories through clay

Kids, join us for a special After School Craft Wednesday, September 15th at 4:30 pm! You will get to play with clay to make your own creation--and tell your own story while having a gooey good time! Then you can look at the new exhibit inside the North Channel Library, provided by the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, to see more fun stories told in clay! PRESCHOOL STORY TIME: TUESDAYS @ 1:30 PM

Three to six year old children and parents are invited to join us for Preschool Story Time on Tuesdays at 1:30 pm. Senior Children's Assistant Kimberly Tiller shares her favorite stories, old and new! Plus we share songs, fingerplays and occassional crafts! Come join in the fun!

Houston North Shore Railway:  ALL ABOARD!! Last chance to get registered for the Adult, Children's or Teen Summer Reading Program is coming up soon! Please be sure you are registered BY OR BEFORE Saturday, August 7th, to be eligible for either a free book (while supplies last) for teens and kids who reach their reading goals or to be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate for adults who log at least 4 books! LITTLE HOUSE ON THE EAST TEXAS PRAIRIE

Coastie the Boat is unable to sail to us Wednesday, July 7th at 2:30 pm, so Branch Librarian Carolyn Dial will present her program, "Little House on the East Texas Prairie." She will show early 1900's family crafts and tools used in daily life in East Texas--and kids will get to touch and hold these, too! Miss Kim will also provide a quilting craft. This program will be held in the Meeting Room, with school age children admitted first. If there is a need, a second program will be presented at 3:30 pm.
