Go Red For Women Day

National Wear Red Day is on Friday, February 5. Wear red and join women and men across the nation who are wearing red and speaking up so save women's lives. To read about people speaking up to beat heart disease that affects women, go to www.GoRedForWomen.org/Stories.

Book Club for Black History Month

Come join our book club in reading Sidney Poitier's Life Beyond Measure. Our group will meet on Monday, February 15 at 11 am. Ask at the desk for copies of the book and where to come for the book club. We would be glad to have you join.

Library Visitor

    

Ms Mary's grandson, Benjamin visits the library from Arizona. He points out things, chooses his books and supervises their check out. He also visited story time. It was lots of fun to have Benjamin visit us at the library.

More New Year Resolutions

Help for more resolutions that go by the wayside. The terrible 'e' word (exercise) and better food choices. There are many books on nutrition, healthy cooking and exercise at the library. Here are a few:

Snowing!!

Snowing at the library! We will be closing at 2 pm today, but are planning on being open regular hours on Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. Our Friends are still having their book sale. And it is a good time to curl up with a good book. Some Christmas theme books at the library are:

Holiday Book Sale

Our Friends of the Library will be having a book sale on Friday, December 4 from 1 pm to 6 pm and Saturday, December 5 from 10 am to 5pm. They have many books suitable for gifts and hope you will come shopping.

Thanksgiving is almost here. Decorations are up and books are flying off the display. Come get one before they are all gone.

Diabetes is a serious disease that can lead to potentially life-threatening complications such as heart disease, stroke and kidney disease.

  • 24 million children and adults in the United States live with diabetes
  • 57 million Americans are at risk for type 2 diabetes
