New Hold Pick Up Location

We want to start by saying that we miss all of our wonderful patrons, and it has been nice to see you coming into open branches picking up holds and returning books.   We are happy to announce that starting Monday, September 18th we will be temporarily stationed at the Lone Star College – North Harris Campus located at 2700 W. W. Thorne Dr. Houston, TX 77073.  The contact number is 281-618-5400.  For your convenience, you will be able to pick up holds at the 2nd floor library and return books there as well .  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Lone Star College Hours:

Mon-Thurs. 7:30 am-9:30 pm
Friday 1:00 pm-6 pm
Saturday 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

Pre-Fall Story Time Break

The summer sessions of children’s and young adults programming will conclude until September to allow staff time to prepare for fall programs.  This includes our regular weekly story times.  They will resume on September 5th.  

Summer Reading also ended on August 5th, but there is still time to collect your prizes!  Stop by anytime next week. (August 7th – 12th) .  Check out the events calendar to see the upcoming list of classes and activities  It has been a great summer at Baldwin Boettcher and we thank everyone who participated in the fun!

Hats Off to the Winner!

Monday, June 5th we celebrated Hat Day at Baldwin Boettcher.  Poeple were invited to come wearing their fanciest hat in honor of our Hat Lady Cindy Groover.  We are proud to announce that the winner with the grandest hat is................................

Maurice Kness!  His hat was unique and loved by everyone.  Congratulations Mr. Kness!

Pre-Summer Story Time Break

The spring session of our regular Children’s and YA programing concludes until June to allow staff time to prepare for summer programs.  Our regular story times will resume starting June 6th.  Hope to see you then!

Poetry Quiz Winner

Wonderful Patrons

Today, we received a beautiful arrangement and card from a wonderful patron that regularly comes into Baldwin Boettcher Library.  He always has a smile on his face and grateful words to share with the staff.  His sweet spirit is what makes customer service a pleasure and a true blessing.

Thank you Mr. Graves for your generosity and kindness.  You are a blessing to know, and we appreciate you!  We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

It's Tax Time Again!

Yes, it is that time again, TAX TIME, and Baldwin Boettcher is happy to announce that AARP is here once again to provide free tax preparation through April 18th.  Here are the days and hours they will be here:

Mondays 1 pm to 5 pm

Wednesdays 12 noon to 5 pm

Fridays 1 pm to 5 pm

Saturdays 11 am to 4 pm

It's a Colorful Year!

We had a big turn out for the Calendar Coloring Craft, and we had a wonderful time!  There was music, food, and most of all we met some awesome people.  Looks like 2017 is going to be a colorful year!

Calendar Coloring Craft

It is a new year and time for a new calendar and Baldwin Boettcher has just the craft activity for you!  Saturday February 4th @ 2 pm we will be having a calendar coloring craft for ages 10 and up.  Get a free 2017 calendar to color. Supplies and refreshments will be provided.  So come join the fun!  Registration is required and you can do that on line at our events calendar or by calling the information desk at 281-821-1320.  There is a limit of 10 so hurry and don't be late for this very crafty and fun date!
