Word Crafters on Wednesday at 5 pm

Today is Wednesday, May 29, and the Baldwin Boettcher Library’s Word Crafters writing group will be meeting at 5 pm in the Starbucks at 1960 and Aldine Westfield Rd.  We meet every Wednesday to share, do prompts, discuss, and inspire.  If you like to write or would like to start, come join us! In Obervance of Memorial Day...

The Baldwin Boettcher Library will be closed Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.  Library materials can be returned in the after hours bookdrop located near the Little Blue Library entrance inside Mercer Botanic Gardens.  Mercer Gardens will have their normal hours throughout the weekend including Monday.  The Baldwin Boettcher Library will resume normal operating hours at 10 am on Tuesday, May 28th.  

Friday ESL

Monday at the Little Blue Library

Word Crafters Going to Local Author Fair Saturday

The Baldwin Boettcher Library’s writing group, Word Crafters will be participating in a Local Author Fair this weekend at Copperfield Books at 8220 Louetta Rd. in Spring.  Come join us and discover over 30 authors, enjoy food and drinks, and participate in a raffle to win great prizes for book lovers.  It will take place tomorrow, Saturday May 18 from 10:30 am to 4 pm. We hope to see you there!

Filipino Food Program at Baldwin Boettcher Library

We are happy to announce that The Baldwin Boettcher Library had a Filipino food tasting program in honor of Asia Pacific Heritage Month Saturday, May 11 from 1 to 3 pm and it was a wonderful success.   It was hosted, cooked and served by our beloved Cindy Groover with some help from Kevin Groover.   The food was delicious, and we had a turn out of 25 people.  Our next food program will be for Hispanic Heritage Month in September.  So, keep a look out on our website and calendar at hcpl.net.  You can always come by and see us at the Little Blue Library in Mercer Botanic Gardens and get a calendar to take home with you.  We always love seeing you there!
