Closed Monday, Jan 21 for Martin Luther King Day

The Baldwin Boettcher Library will be closed on Monday, January 21, in observance of Martin Luther King Day.  We will resume our usual hours on Tuesday, January 22 at 10 am.    Customers will have access to Overdrive, databases, and the other electronic resources during the holiday closure. We wish everyone a wonderful holiday weekend.

Friday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Friday, Jan 18, and we will be having our afternoon ESL class with Teresa Allen at 1 pm.  It takes place at the Mercer Botanic Center and the address is 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  For more information on the location, please call Cindy at 832-927-5480.  The class is a free service to the community for those that want to improve their English speaking skills.  No registration is necessary.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Word Crafters Meet Today @ 5 pm

Wednesday Spin-a-Yarn at the Little Blue Library

Monday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Monday, Jan 14, and Baldwin Boettcher Library is having 2 kid programs for you at the Little Blue Library.  First at 10:30 am we have our Story Time in the Gardens.  There will be a craft at the end.  Later at 4 pm we will have Make a Dragon Egg.  This program is for kids ages 6 to 11 years.  We will make fantasy a reality for the wee little dragon lovers out there.  We will be making dragon eggs out of clay jewels and other items that naturally exist on dragon’s eggs.  It will take place under the Tree House at 4 pm.   So come join us!  To see what other programs we have, check our events calendar at hcpl.net, or just come by and see us at the Little Blue Library at Mercer Botanic Gardens. 

Saturday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Saturday, Jan 12th, and we have a wonderful adult program in store for you.  We will be decorating coffee mugs.  This craft is for adults, 18 years and older, and will take place at 1 pm under the Tree House.  Registration is necessary.  Just go to our website at hcpl.net, click on locations, and Baldwin Boettcher Library. Then click on the events calendar and click on the event.  It will then direct you to sign up.  We still have quite a few openings, so do not miss out on this one. We would love to see you here!

Wednesday at The Little Blue Library

Today is Wednesday, Jan 9th and we have two adult programs in store for you.  First we have Spin-a-Yarn at 11 am. Engineering with Jelly Beans

Today is Monday Jan 7th and at 4 pm we have a wonderful activity planned for you.  Engineering with Jelly Beans is for ages 6 to 11 years.  We will see what we can engineer with toothpicks and jelly beans.  It will be both fun and delicious.  No registration is necessary.  Just meet us at the Mercer Botanic Garden, Tree House and join the fun!

Different Time and Location for Word Crafters Today

Holiday Hours for New Year's

We are at the end of another year, and the Baldwin Boettcher Library would like to wish you a happy and safe New Year.  We look forward to seeing you at the Little Blue Library in 2019, and have a lot planned in programs for you.  The holiday hours for this week are:
Mon, Dec 31 – open 10 am to 5 pm
Tues, Jan 1 – closed
Wed through Sat – open 10 am to 5 pm

On New Year’s day, customers will still have access to Overdrive, databases, and the other electronic resources.
