Spin-a-Yarn Canceled Tomorrow

Winners of the Blackout Poetry Contest

We are proud to announce the first and second place winner of our Blackout Poetry Contest for April.  Drum roll please……………..The winner of the second-place prize, a cool journal book, goes to Makeda Memitee.  The winner of the first-place prize, the book “Milk and Honey” by Rupi Kaur goes to Krista Wilson.  Congratulations ladies, and thank you to the poets that participated in the program!  Also thank you to all the wonderful folks that voted.  We had a great time celebrating poetry month in April with you all!

Friday ESL

Today is Friday, May 3 and we have another ESL class to assist members of the community who desire to learn to speak the English language or improve their English-speaking skills.  This class starts at 1 pm and will take place at the Mercer Botanic Center.  The address there is 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  The Friday class is taught by Teresa Allen, but if you have any questions about the class or location, please call Cindy at 832-927-5480. Today is Wednesday, May 1st and we have two adult programs in store for you.  First at 11 am we have Spin-a-Yarn.  It takes place in the Mercer Botanic Center.  The address there is, 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  If you like to crochet, knit, sew, craft, and chat, then this is the group for you.  Later in the day at 5 pm we have Word Crafters.  It is a writing group that meet in the Starbucks at 1960 and Aldine Westfield Rd.  If you like to write or would like to start, come join us! Tween Reader's Book Club Today @4pm

Today is Monday, April 29 and the Baldwin Boettcher Library will be having a tween program at 4 pm.  It is the Tween Reader’s Club.  Each month we will read a book and then meet to talk about it and eat some delicious treats.  Future books for the club will be available following our meeting.  This month’s book is the Bicycle Spy by Yona Zeldis McDonough. Garden Wind Chimes

Today is Monday, April 22 and the Baldwin Boettcher Library has a wonderful children’s program in store for you.  We will be making wind chimes for your garden out of clay pots, beads, keys, bells, and anything else you can find that makes fun noises.  It will take place at 4 pm under the Tree House.  No registration is necessary and it is for ages 6 to 11 years. We hope you will join us!

Word Crafters on Wednesday at 5 pm

Today is Wednesday, April 17, and Baldwin Boettcher Library’s Word Crafters writing group will be meeting at 5 pm in the Starbucks at 1960 and Aldine Westfield Rd.  If you like to write or would like to start, come join us.  We would love to see you there!
