Wednesday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Wednesday, March 20th and we have two adult programs in store for you.  First at 11 am our Spin-a-Yarn group will meet.   Today they will be meeting at a different location.  They will be outdoors at Mercer Botanic Gardens.  If you like to knit, crochet, create, or chat, then this is the group for you.  Later today at 5 pm our Word Crafters writing group will meet in the Starbucks at 1960 and Aldine Westfield Rd.  If you like to write or would like to start, come join us! Monday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Monday, March 18th and the Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library has several programs in store for you.  First at 10:30 am we will have Story Time in the Gardens.  For ages 2 to 6 years old.  A craft will be done after the story. It will take place under the Tree House.   Then at 4 pm we will have a Library Card Holder craft for ages 6 to 11 years old.  It will also take place under the Tree House.  Do you have a library card?  Great!

Parking at Mercer Botanic Gardens March 15 – 16

Spring is almost upon us, and it is time for Mercer Botanic Gardens to have their annual March Mart Plant Sale.  It will take place Friday, March 15 through Saturday, March 16.  During those days parking will be limited at Mercer Botanic Gardens.  Only those in need of handicapped parking will be able to park on the east or garden side on a first come, first served basis.  Everyone else will be required to park on the west side or trail side of the park.  Shuttles will be available for transportation.  We apologize for the inconvenience.   If you have any further questions, please call the Baldwin Boettcher Library staff at 832-927-5480.  We will be happy to answer any question you may have.  We look forward to seeing you s

Tool Check Out at the Little Blue Library

The Baldwin Boettcher Library is proud to announce that as of March 1st 2019 we are partnering with Mercer Botanic Gardens to provide a new service to the public. Anyone with a Harris County Public Library card in good standing can place a hold, and borrow yard and gardening tools from the Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library. You may borrow a total of 40 (Up to 20 small tools and up to 20 large tools). The lending period for tools is 14 days with no renewals. You may return the item and borrow it again if there is not a waiting list for the tool. The tools are not in the HCPL catalogue, but you can contact any Harris County Library to place a hold. Keep in mind tools can only be picked up and returned at the Baldwin Boettcher Library during open hours.

Friday ESL

Today is Friday, February 22, and Baldwin Boettcher Library will have ESL for the surrounding community at 1 pm.   It is a class to assist those that want to learn the English language or improve their English speaking skills.  It will take place in the Mercer Botanic Center at 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  No registration is necessary, and the class is free.  For more information on the location, please contact Cindy at 832-927-5480.
