3D Printer Demo!

 What would you make if you could make anything? Come to our to our special Kid Whiz presentation on 3D printers and learn how you can use these printers to make whatever your imagination can come up with. The program will be held in the meeting room:

Wiggle Tales Mosquitos

A representative from the HCPHES Mosquito Control will read a short story to children about mosquitoes. Following the short story, a fun presentation about mosquito facts and myths will be presented. The program will be held here at the South Houston Library meeting room:

Overdrive Read on your PC!

Did you know that you don't have to own an e-reader to read an ebook? You can read ebooks directly on your computer screen with Overdrive. Bring you library card and come learn how to use Overdrive Read on a pc in this fun mini session!

Star Wars Robotics for Teens!

Teens, come meet BB-8™ and his friend Sphero! The app-enabled DroidBB-8 has something unlike any other robot - an adaptive personality that changes as you play. We will use our iPads to move him around and give him commands in the fun "play" session Friday March 18th at 4:30 p.m! This program is a part of our bi-monthly Teen S.T.E.A.M. schedule, so check back in a couple of months for another fun program! Microsoft in a Month!

This February we started Microsoft in a Month, where every week we will learn a new popular software program.These short basic classes are geared for those who love using the computer, but want to get started learning basic Microsoft software. Next Monday February 8th 2016 at 5pm we will continue with the second part of Microsoft Word.

Hour of Code for Teens!

Calling all Teens! The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. If you heard about the Hour of Code last year, you might know it made history. In the first Hour of Code, 15 million students tried computer science. Last year, that number increased to 60 million students! There are a ton of reasons to join us, so come to the computer lab

One on One Help Monday's!

Need help creating such items as: Resumes, business cards, email accounts, flyers, invitations or filling out job applications? Let us help you every Monday from 1:30-3:30. You don't need to schedule an appointment, just come during this time so we can help you!  Space and staff are limited, so first come first serve.
