LSC-Tomball Pet Food Drive Benefitting Meals on Wheels

  Please join the LSC-Tomball Community Library in a combined effort with the students of the LSC-Tomball College in a pet food drive benefiting Meals on Wheels Houston. Hot meals for seniors and other homebound adults will be delivered along meals for their pets. Donations of dry or canned pet food will be collected until December 4th. Please help us make sure our furry friends have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays this year. Boxes for donations have been placed throughout the library lobby. Try on a Digital Costume During Tuesday Toddler Time

Halloween is around the corner, do you have your costume yet? If you do, wear it to any story time next week, but if not, no worries. During play time after Tuesday's toddler time, you will have the chance to create a 30 second video wearing the digital costume of your choice using the free FlipLip app on an Ipad. You can be a mermaid, a prince, a princess a pirate or even a stuffed bear. You may then choose the voice of a princess or a robot, a Chipmunk,  Zeuss and more. You video may even be selected to appear on our branch Facebook page. Call Christie in the children's department if  you have questions or we will see you at 10:30, Tuesday, October 27th.   








Musikiddity for Homeschoolers


Musikiddity will bring their professional portable recording studio to the LSC-Tomball Community Library on Monday, October 26th at 1:30 pm. Homeschool children, ages 8-12 will have fun  while they practice reading lines and learning to create sound effects from ordinary household objects in "How to Carve a Pumpkin...Quickly". This program is free but limited to 12 children. Call 832-559-4235 to reserve a spot for your child beginning Thursday, October 19th. Little Sprouts Garden Club Decorate Flowerpots for Mom












The Little Spouts Garden club had a ball creating thumbprint art  ladybugs, bumblebees and other bugs to decorate flower pots for their mothers to give to their mothers for Mother's Day this Sunday.  The Little Sprouts (ages 5-7) and the The Sprouts Garden Club (ages 7-12) meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Tomball library to participate in hands on activities to help them learn about gardening. Kids Crochet Class to continue on Wednesday afternoons

Due to multiple requests, the LSC-Tomball Community Library children's department will continue our kid's crochet classes through the end of May. However we will now meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 4:30 pm through May.

Kids Learn to Crochet!

Kids, ages 7-12 years old, would you like to learn to crochet? If you would like to learn crochet basics and create fun projects, please join us in the Children's Department on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of January and February.

Log Books for SRP 2014 until Saturday, August 9th

KIDS, there are only a couple of days left to finish reading books for this years Summer Reading Program. If you haven't registered, you still have time to register and log everything you read between June 4th and August 9th.

NASA presents children's program July 31st at 3 PM

NASA will be here on Thursday, July 31st at 3:00 pm to talk about living and working on the International Space Station. Learn about what astronauts do for fun, how they sleep and eat while in space.  There will be a craft for kids. Meets in L-129 of the LSC-Tomball Community Library. Fizz, Boom, Non-Toxic Band Children's Music Concert

Join us in the Children's area on Monday, July 28th 3:00 pm to dance and sing along with a live music concert by the Non-Toxic Band. This FREE performance by Joe Romano and Susan Elliott, former Sesame Street singers and song-writers will be upbeat, interactive and engaging. All ages are welcome.
