Library closed on Labor Day

Job FairDon't forget, all Harris County Library locations will be closed this Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. And speaking of Labor Day, did you know Harris County will be hosting a Job and Career Fair on Thursday, September 10th at NRG Stadium from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm? Don't miss this opportunity to meet staff and hiring managers from several Harris County departments. School Resources @ Your Library

studentSummer is over and that means it's back to school time.  Did you know that besides some cool new shoes and sharpened pencils, there's something else you need to succeed in school?  Your library databases!  We have an incredible amount of resources available online, such a magazine and journal articles, essays and links to controversial topics (perfect for persuasive essays), online practice tests and skill building exercises for SATs, and so much more.  You can access all of these great resources from home with your library card, or come in to the library and we will be happy to walk you through these tools.&n

Johnson, Attorney at Law.  Ms. Johnson will be answering legal questions and addressing issues that are important to the community.  Please join us for a chance for some free legal guidance.

Coming Soon to a Library Near You: Summer Reading Program!

summer reading programOur dedicated superheroes (A.K.A. super volunteers) have been hard at work getting the North Channel Library ready for our 2015 Summer Reading Program.  As you might guess, our theme this year is Reading is My Superpower!  Our program will start June 1st and run until August 8th. It is open for all ages, babies to adults. Be sure to check back at this same bat channel on June 1st to sign up!
