Join us this Wednesday as Puppet Pizzazz performs "African Tales" in celebration of Black History Month!  Mr. Greg, a master puppeteer, created a new show based on his recent travels to Sudan.  Join us for this high energy performance on Wednesday, February 16th at 4:30 pm.

Buried under a mountain of photos? The North Channel Scrapbooking Group meets every month to craft and share ideas together. All you need to bring are your materials and creativity!

Join us the 2nd Saturday of every month and learn how to preserve your memories. 

Texans love libraries!

What do library services mean to you?  Do you check out books or movies?  Use our computers?  Attend our free computer classes?  Check out our programs for children, teens or adults?  Or just come to meet with groups or friends?  We are asking you to help us tell the Texas legislature how much library services mean to you.  Between now and February 10th you can fill out a postcard that will be presented to the Texas legislature on TLA Legislative Day.   Check out our Texans Love Libraries display to pick up a postcard. You can also fill out an online survey to make sure your voices

Opera to go at North Channel!

We are very excited to present a performance of Opera to Go by the Houston Grand Opera.   Join us at the library on Wednesday, January 19th at 4 PM as Opera to Go presents "Opera Cat." "Opera Cat" will be mostly sung in spanish and is based on the book by Tess Weaver.   This performance is purrrrfect for all ages!

North Channel closed for Christmas holiday

Have you got your books to read during the Christmas holiday?  If not, you better watch out, you better not cry, 'cause the North Channel Library will be closed for Christmas starting at 5 pm on Wednesday, December 22nd and will not open again until Monday, December 27th at 1 pm.  Don't forget to find some great books to read in front of the crackling fireplace.  And for you lucky readers who will be getting an e-reader, ipad, or mp3 player from Santa, you can check out books 24 hours a day, 365 days a year through our digital media catalog.
