Celebrate the 100th Anniversary Children’s Book Week; the longest-running national celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading.The theme this year is Read Now • Read Forever.

Welcome to Storytime

Children and families are invited to attend Twilight Tales storytime on Monday, April 22 @ 7:00 pm. This program is a fun storytime for the entire family. Each week we focus on creating a positive storytime experience to inspire a love of family reading by enjoying a variety of stories and activities. Tonight, I will be presenting a smorgasburg of tales followed by a simple craft related to Earth Day. Typically, we have this program in the meeting room, but all storytimes will be held in the Children's area from April 22 - May 4, because of voting.

Special Guest @ STEM Club! Come Meet a Beekeeper

STEM Club: Bees for Gades 2-5.

Celebrate Earth Day a week early as we learn about the importance of bees in our environment. Talk with a special beekeeper guest and ask questions! We'll be having a honey tasting; so, please be aware of any allergies beforehand. 

When:Monday, April 15 at 4 pm. 

This is a free program but requires registration.  

Happy Tooth Day, Wednesday, April 3

We've invited as a special guest for pre-school storytime this week. This program is for children ages 4 through 6 years old and their families; registration is not required.

When: Wednesday, April 3 @ 1:30 pm. 

Story Pals is a captivating storytime for the child ready to experience longer, more complex books. Each week we focus on a special theme and develop early-literacy skills by enjoying a variety of stories, sing-alongs, movement, play, and a craft.  We look forward to seeing you!

Dr. Seuss Party on Friday, March 2

Children and their families are invited to join a special party to celebrate the life, and work of Dr. Seuss. 

When: Friday, March 2nd at 4:00 pm. 

For: Children ages 12 years old or younger. 

Celebrate African-American History Month

Children and their families are invited to join a special program celebrating African-American History Month. We have many exciting activities planned including children's stories, a puppet show, and crafts highlighting the contribution of Black Americans in the United States. We will also enjoy a yummy treat and have a drawing for great prizes! 

When: Monday, February 5th @ 6:30 pm

This program is in place of Twilight Tales, and it will begin 30 minutes earlier than normal.

Music for Children

Do you and your little one have a song in your hearts? Come join us as we jam to kid-song favorites. We will be singing along to kid-friendly hits,​ ​nursery​ ​rhymes,​ ​and​ ​more!​ This is a special program for children ages 2-5, but kids of all ages are welcome. Ages Family Program (Geared toward ages 2-5)

Monday, November 20 at 6:30-7:30pm
This program is in place of our regularly scheduled Twilight Tales (Family Storytime) program and begins 30 minutes earlier than Twilight Tales usually begins.

Hispanic Heritage Celebration for Families

Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by enjoying stories, a puppet show, and crafts highlighting Mexican culture as well as the diversity of Hispanic and Latino cultures around the world. We will also enjoy a tasty treat and have a drawing for cool prizes! This program is in place of our Twilight Tales (Family Storytime) program, and will begin 30 minutes earlier than normal at 6:30 pm.

Please be aware that space and supplies are limited. 

 

 

Family Storytime with an Emphasis on Little Ones

Rock-a-Bye Readers  is a mixed-age program geared toward babies and early-toddlers.

When: Fridays at 1pm.

This storytime has been created as a gentle early-learning experience focusing on the interaction between parent and child. We will enjoy sing-alongs, book sharing, and play. 

We recommend that parents register each child who will attend the program; doing so will ensure your space in the program for a one-month block.  The recommended registration will reopen on the last Friday of each month.
