Come and see how a creative artist works. Sit, observe and learn as Jennifer creates an oil painting over the course of two hours. Jennifer is certified to present Wilson Bickford’s “Fly Like an Eagle” oil lesson. She shares her love of painting with others. She is an artist and a teacher.

Green Thumb Gardening Series

The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service and the Harris County Master Gardeners are pleased to offer the Green Thumb gardening series of lectures at the Barbara Bush Branch Library.

The topic on March 12 is “Documenting Your Garden.” These lectures are free and space is limited so please call 281-855-5600 to register. This series will be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month, 6:30-8:30 pm..

Al and Polly’s Bookstore Needs Volunteer Booksellers

Do you like books? Do you like sharing books with others? We currently need new volunteers to help us in the bookstore. Typical shifts are 3-4 hours/half days.

We need volunteers that are interested in working a regular weekly time slot and also those interested in being a substitute .  Our bookstore is open 6 days a week and is run solely by volunteers.
