High Meadows’ African American history month essay contest returns this year. The contest is open to residents of the High Meadows area between the ages of 13 and 18. Come see us at the library for a full list of rules and submission guidelines. Submissions will be accepted through February 27.
The Traveling Naturalist visited High Meadows this Tuesday. Attendees got to learn about and pet lizards, snakes, alligators and turtles. The Traveling Naturalist will be returning at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, February 16 with Animal Senses.
High Meadows will be hosting free job search seminars this January. Seminars will run from 10 am to 12 noon every Wednesday. It all starts Wednesday, January 6 with “Creating a Resume / Completing the Application”.
Join us every Thursday at 3:30 for movie night in the meeting room. Do you have any suggestions for movies you’d like us to show? Come talk to David. He’ll see what he can do.
High Meadows will be hosting job search workshops every Wednesday in January starting at 10 am. Join us January 6 to learn about resumes and applications and throughout the month to develop the skills you need to get the jobs you want.
High Meadows will be celebrating National Gaming Day on Saturday, November 14 from noon until 4. Come join us, play games or just hang out. We look forward to seeing you there.

The Friends of High Meadows Branch Library will be holding a book sale on Saturday, October 31 from 10am to 3pm. So come find a good book. Wear a costume. Have a ghoulishly good time. We look forward to seeing you here.
