HCPL branches will be closed Monday, May 25. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 26 for regular hours. Lone Star College - Cy-Fair Library will close Friday May 22 at 4:30 PM and will be closed through Monday May 25.
High Meadows’ African American history month essay contest returns this year. The contest is open to residents of the High Meadows area between the ages of 13 and 18. Come see us at the library for a full list of rules and submission guidelines. Submissions will be accepted through February 27.
The Traveling Naturalist visited High Meadows this Tuesday. Attendees got to learn about and pet lizards, snakes, alligators and turtles. The Traveling Naturalist will be returning at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, February 16 with Animal Senses.
High Meadows will be hosting free job search seminars this January. Seminars will run from 10 am to 12 noon every Wednesday. It all starts Wednesday, January 6 with “Creating a Resume / Completing the Application”.

The Friends of High Meadows Branch Library will be holding a book sale on Saturday, October 31 from 10am to 3pm. So come find a good book. Wear a costume. Have a ghoulishly good time. We look forward to seeing you here.
On October 29th and 30th starting at 3:15pm join us in the meeting room for classic creature features. Flash back to where it all started with the old movies from back in the day--back when folks knew what horror was really made of.
Feeling artistic? Create a piece of Native American-themed art for our colossal creativity contest. Be creative. We accept all kinds of art. Winners will have their works displayed in the teen area during the month of November. Please keep all works appropriate and have them submitted no later than October 28.
