Let It Rain

Don't let the cold weather get you down? It is the best time to snuggle up with a good book. Tuck youself in and grab a mystery. Light your fireplace and read a romance novel. Gather the family around the living room and share favorite poems. The silver lining of rain and cold is a Harris County Library Card and some really great winter reads.

Stand Up and Be Counted - Census 2010

Did you know the 2010 Census starts mailing forms to all residences in March? The census counts the population of the US and is used to determine how over $400 billion dollars in federal funds are distributed. Several of our county library branches will be information and counting centers for the 2010 Census. It is a quick 10-question form, but the impact is long lasting. Just ask anyone that uses the past US Censuses for family genealogy research.
