LET IT SNOW!

Celebrate an old-fashioned Christmas in Downtown Katy on Saturday, December 3.  
A free snow park will be open from noon to 5, and Santa will be on hand as well.  For adults there will be entertainment, shopping, food trucks, and a beer garden.   A collection of canned goods will be donated to the local food pantry and all proceeds will benefit a local charity.  For more information, visit the Katy Market Days website,http://katymarketday.com/event/katy-market-day-3/.

TEEN/TWEEN CRAFT TIME

Teens and Tweens make one of a kind Christmas cards for your family and friends on Wednesday, November 30, 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.  All supplies will be provided.  For ages 10 and up.

THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY CLOSURE

The Katy Branch Library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23.  The library will remain closed through the weekend and reopen on Monday, November 27 at 10:00 a.m.  

 

SHOP HISTORIC KATY

Arts, crafts, plants, produce, antiques and more will all be available at the November Katy Market days.  Head on over to downtown Katy this Saturday, November 19, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and pick up some unique Christmas gifts. SCHOOL AGE CRAFT TIME

Hey kids, get ready for Thanksgiving at our craft time on Wednesday, November 9, 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Create a paper turkey for Thanksgiving decorating.  Craft time is the second Wednesday of every month for school age children.

TEEN BOOK CLUB

Hey, Teens!  The Book Club will meet on Tuesday, November 8 at 4:30 p.m.  This month’s book is the graphic novel, American Born Chinese by Gene Yang.  We’ll be meeting in the back of the children’s area this month since voting will be taking place in our meeting room.  Plan on a fun discussion and, of course, yummy snacks.

GARAGE AND BAKE SALE

Buy yourself a treasure or a sweet treat at the Friends of the Katy Library Garage and Bake sale on Saturday, October 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Help the library with your purchases!  All proceeds provide craft supplies for kids and teen programs, prizes for summer reading, performers fees, food for adult programs and more.

KATY MARKET DAYS

Shop Historic Downtown Katy on Saturday, October 15, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  A variety of vendors will be on hand with their antiques, handmade crafts, gifts, food, and more.   

READ FOR THE FUN OF IT!

Celebrate Teen Read Week at our Teen Book Club on Tuesday, October 11 at 4:30 p.m. Come for pizza and games and a discussion of Ender’s Game. Teens are encouraged to read something just for the fun of it during Teen Read Week, October 9 – 15.
