The Katy Branch Library will celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage month with an afternoon of crafts on Saturday, May 12 from 1:00 to 3:00. Stop by the library and try your skills with a tangram and origami, or make a dragon puppet or a colorful lei.

It's springtime, and the ducklings are swimming in the pond at Mary Jo Peckham Park. Stop by the library with your children and check out some of our books on ducks, then head over to the park to watch the real live ducklings. Keep in mind, though, that bread is not a nutritious meal for ducks. Please do not feed them bread.

The Katy Branch Library is pleased to have The Houston Grand Opera perform, The Clever Wife, on Monday April 23 at 4:00 pm. Based on a popular Chinese folktale, this opera explores the difference between wisdom and knowledge when a young wife must rescue her foolish husband from a magistrate's impossible tasks. Don't miss this amazing free performance!

The Katy Library will be holding it’s annual birthday celebration on Saturday, April 21 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. There will be face painting and games galore, including a Wii, iPad games, and board games. Put this on your calendar, you won’t want to miss it!

Leap into the future with Family Storytime on Wednesday, March 21 at 6:30 pm. Children will enjoy hearing the book, If I Had a Robot. Family storytime includes active songs and fun crafts, and is held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30.

Calling all Love Bugs! Come celebrate the Valentine season in Family Storytime, Wednesday, February 15, 6:30 p.m. Family storytime is held the 3rd Wednesday of each month and features stories, songs and a craft.
