Book Club discusses "A Confederacy of Dunces"

Come join our Book Club for a lively discussion of Pulitzer Prize winner and cult classic, "A Confederacy

"Basic Computers" and "Basic Internet"!

The Kingwood Library has scheduled two computer classes for the beginner.  "Basic Internet"  will be offered on Saturday, March 23, at 11:00 a.m. "Basic Computers" will be offered on Tuesday, March 26, at 10:30 a.m. Both of these free classes will be held in the library's Computer Lab. To register, contact the library @ 281-360-6804 or stop by the Adult Services information on the 2nd floor. 

Free Resume Workshop!

Need help with your resume?  Workforce Solutions' presenter Cheryl Sandifer will be providing helpful tips and advice to help you develop and polish your resume!  This free workshop will be offered on Tuesday, March 19 at 1:00 p.m. in our Computer Lab. Saturday Fare for Local Hobbyists!

This Saturday, March 9, at 10:30 a.m., the Kingwood Library will be offering two free programs for local hobbyists!  Master Gardener Gudrun Opperman will be in our Meeting Room to present "Gardening In the Shade". She will be sharing techniques for setting up a garden in limited sunlight.  If photography is more to your liking, come join us in the Computer Lab for "Photography 101", where Vincent Palmisano will show you how to take better photos with your digital camera.

FamilySearch, a Genealogy Workshop

Come join other genealogy enthusiasts on Saturday, March 2, as local genealogist Karen Rasmussen shares her expertise on using the FamilySearch database. This free workshop will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the library Meeting Room. No registration is required.

Jazz Band Performs at the Kingwood Library!!!

In honor of Black History Month, the Kingwood High School Jazz Band will perform a variety of tunes for your listening pleasure!  This special event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on the first floor of the library on Monday, February 25, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  No registration is required.

Tax Help Returns to the Kingwood Library!

AARP Tax Help returns once again for patrons needing help filling out tax forms.  This free service will be available in the library Meeting Room every Wednesday starting February 6, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Help will be given on a first-come first-served basis.  For more information please contact the library @ 281-360-6804.
