Personal Accessories and Craft Supplies! Spring Swap to refresh and reset yourself. Bring usable accessories such as scarves, belts, bangles, shoes, jewelry, wallets, bags and purses to rotate your own style. Also stretch your creative side with supplies for arts and crafts which could include sewing notions, fabrics, knit/crochet supplies, beads, buttons, clay, craft sticks, paper, stamps, pencils, pens, markers, and more.

Interviewing

Interviewing workshop scheduled March 23rd, 2017 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Northwest Branch Library.

The interview is where jobs are won or lost!  Learn steps to help you make a great first impression, appropriately respond to questions, and effectively follow-up to improve your chances of getting an offer. Staff from Workforce Solutions will be on hand to assist customers with their resume needs.

Toys for Tots

Precinct 3, in a partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps, is collecting toys for Toys for Tots. Currently new, unwrapped toys for girls and boys are being collected, and the Northwest Branch Library is serving as one of the collection sites. Donations will be accepted through Friday, December 16.  For more information on this program click here.

Harry Potter Day

The Northwest Branch Library is celebrating the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by bringing you back to where the magic started. We’ll be showing the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, on November 21 st starting at 3:30 pm in the meeting room. There will be snacks and Harry Potter themed things to take home.
