Spring Break - St. Patrick's Day Crafts - Bunnies Program

Mysterious Monday, on March 12, at 4 pm will be a shamrock craft.  The Nature Discovery Center will present "Bunny Buddies" on Tuesday, March 13, at 10 am in the Kingwood Branch Meeting Room. Our monthly toddler craft time will be Thursday, March 15, at 10:30 am and 2:20 pm in the Children's Activity Room. On Saturday, March 17, at 3 pm is our Family Storytime which is stories read and a simple craft.

Mysterious Monday Craft

March came in "like a lamb" and then will go out like a lion, so we're going to make a lamb craft on Monday, March 5, at 4 pm and a lion craft for the last Monday in March.Dragoneers will meet Thursday, March 8, at 4 pm. and talk about the mystery books they are reading.  There will be pageantry and snacks!On Tuesday, March 13, at 10 am in the big meeting room off the lobby there will be a program about other soft animals -- RABBITS!

Mysterious Monday Craft

February has been a busy time in the Childrens' Area with crafts with themes for Black History Month, Valentine's Day, and Mardi Gras.  For the last Monday in February at 4 pm, we will have a patriotic Origami craft. 

There's going to be a puppet show for "Read Across America" on Thursday, March 1, at 10:00 am in the Kingwood Branch Meeting Room just off the lobby.  The Carranza Puppets will perform: " The Three LIttle Pigs."  ...and it's FREE!  At 4 pm, there will be a Dr. Seuss craft.

 

 

Mardi Gras Masks for Mysterious Monday

On "Mysterious Monday." February 20, at 4 pm, school aged kids will make masks for Mardi Gras (which is Tuesday, February 21.)

Dragoneers will meet Thursday, February 23, at 4 pm for their awards ceremony with a craft and snacks, too.

On Friday, February 23, at 4:30 pm in the Meeting Room just off the lobby, the Express Children's Theatre will present a program for Black History Month called: "The Underground Railroad."

Valentines Day Craft for Mysterious Monday

On Monday, February 13, at 4 pm, school aged children will make valentines... (to give to their grown-ups to make that day special for them.)

 Don't forget to mark your calendar for February 24, at 4:30 pm for Express Children's Theatre program:  " Underground Railroad."  It will be held in the Meeting Room just off the lobby.

Black History Month Craft for School Aged Children

 

Our craft for Mysterious Monday, February 6, at 4 pm, will be code messages used during the days of the Underground Railroad. Just a reminder:   Express Children's Theatre will present:  "FREEDOM TRAIN," on Friday, February 24, at 4:30 pm in the  Kingwood Branch Meeting Room.

On Thursday,  February 9, at 10:30 and 2:20, the preschool children will be making a simple Valentine's Day Craft.  Dragoneers will be Thursday, February 2, at 4 pm. 

Penguin craft for the School Age Kids

School Age kids come and make a "wobbly" penguin (and have a penguin snack) on Monday, January 30, at 4 pm in the Children's Activity Room.  On Thursday, February 2 at 4 pm we will make a groundhog craft.  Maybe WINTER  will soon be over!

Don't forget Children's Storytime with Miss Connie on Tuesdays at 10:30 and 2:20; it's for all children.

Celebrate Chinese New Year 2012 - The Year of the Dragon

School-age children will be making dragons on Monday, January 23, at 4 pm to celebrate the Chinese New Year  year of the dragon.

Don't forget Family Storytime at 4:30 pn Tuesday, January 24!

Dragoneers will be meeting Thursday, January 26, at 4 pm.

Holiday for Martin Luther King Day

The Kingwood Library will be closed, Monday. January 16, 2012, for Martin Luther King Day.We will open on Tuesday, at 10:00 am. Preschool Craft will be on Thursday, January 19, at 10:30 am and 2:20 pm, in the Children's Activity Room.  (The preschoolers will be making penguin finger puppets.)

Winter Crafts for Mysterious Monday

It's winter in Kingwood (even though it looks like fall) and the school-age children are going to be making snowmen in the Children's Activity Room on Monday, January 9, at 4 pm. Dragoneers are reading "fun" books and will talk about them when they meet on Thursday, January 12, at 4 pm. Preschool age children will be making penguin puppets on Thursday, January 19, at 10:30 am and 2:20 pm.
