Valentine's Day & Black History Month at Stratford!

Join us on Monday, February 13th at 4pm for a fun tween program that combines Black History Month and Valentine's Day. Tweens can make Valentine's Day cards and sample some pink peanut butter pie in honor of George Washington Carver who pioneered many new uses for peanuts. Tweens can hang out, make cards, learn about Carver and eat pie.

Hope to see you there!

Storytime!

Join us tomorrow for Baby Storytime at 10:15 and toddler storytime at 10:40. We will be making a fun rainbow craft. See you there!

Calling All Mothers

This week's storytime is, of course, dedicated to mothers everywhere. Please bring your toddlers this Thursday at 10:40 am for some special stories of mothers and their children, followed by a simple craft.

Happy Birthday to the Very Hungry Caterpillar!

Thank you to everyone who came for storytime during spring break this week! It was great to see you all and celebrate St. Patrick's Day with you.  Next week, we will be reading a story or two by Eric Carle, since March 20th will be the 42nd anniversary of the publishing of the Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Eric Carle's pictures are made by collage using painted paper, which is what accounts for the saturated colors you see. You can read about it here. His main website can be found here. Hope you will join us!  Baby time 10:15, Toddler time 10:40 on Thursday.

St. Patrick's Day!

Next week at Toddler Story Time, we will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Feel free to wear green, and we will make some "shamrock shakes." We'll play St. Patrick's Day hot potato and Lucky Leprechaun says.  See you there!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss~!

This upcoming Wednesday, March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's birthday. All across the country, it is celebrated also as "Read Across America" day. To celebrate, on Thursday, during storytime at 10:40, we will be having a very special Dr. Seuss themed morning. To learn more about Dr. Seuss, the author, go here. For fun games for your children to play on the internet, and more, go here. (The matching game is particularly addictive). For great quotes, go here.

Storytime!

Next week we will celebrate Black History Month at storytime and, among other activities, will be making peanut butter in honor of George Washington Carver.
