Practice SAT with the Princeton Review

There's still time to sign up for the Practice SAT this Saturday from 10 am -2:30 pm. 
This test is for teens in grades 9-12.

Please bring a calculator (no graphing calculators allowed) and a #2 pencil. Cell phones will not be allowed during the exam. Snacks will be provided for the break or you are welcome to bring your own snack for the break. Scores will be available in 7-10 business days after your take your exam. They will be emailed to the email address that you provide on your scantron. 

Let's Go Fly A Kite

All kids 5-12 are welcome to make a kite and then go out and fly it (weather permitting) at  the Fairbanks Library on Friday, April 20 at 4:30 pm.  Space is limited so call 713-466-4438 to reserve your spot.

Maker Monday: Cardboard Construction

Join us this Monday at 5 pm for Cardboard Construction.  All teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to create, shields, swords or whatever else you can imagine at the Fairbanks Library.  For more information call 713-466-4438.

St. Patrick's Day Storytime

Join us for Family St. Patrick's Day Story time on Saturday, March 10 at the Fairbanks Branch Library at 2:00 pm. There will be songs, stories and a craft!

Craft & Computers - T-Shirt Design

Kids ages 8-12 are invited to design their own t-shirt using computers and our brand new Cricut machine at the Fairbanks Branch Library on Friday, March 9 at 4:00 pm.  There will be lessons on finding images online and editing them for their needs.  All kids will go home with their original t-shirt!  Space is limited so please call 713-466-4438 to register.

Kid's Pick Book Club

All kids between the ages of 8-12 are invited to the Kid's Pick Book Club at the Fairbanks Branch Library on Monday, Feb. 25 at 5 pm.  This month we're focusing on non-fiction books.  The kids can pick any book that falls under non-fiction to read and talk about.  If you don't have time to read it before Monday, come anyway!  We'll also be making a craft.  Call 713-466-4438 for more information.

Saturday Happenings for the Family

Join us for Faithful Paws and a family storytime celebrating the Olympics at the Fairbanks Library on Saturday, February 17.
All school-age kids are welcome to practice their reading skills by reading a story to a furry, certified, non-judgmental audience starting at 2 pm. The kids can bring their own book or choose one from the library collection.

At the storytime we'll be reading winter sports books and making a craft. There will also be a contest for kids, teens, AND adults! The storytime starts at 3:30, but come in anytime to participate in the contest. The winner will be contacted on Monday, February 19.

Royal Heart Valentine Storytime

Here Ye! Here Ye! All Lords and Ladies between the ages of 5-10 are invited to our Royal Hearts Storytime celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday, February 9 at 4:30 pm. The bard will be sharing stories of royalty and will be followed by dancing and crafting. Snacks will also be provided. Here ye, Here ye!  All royal lords and ladies between the ages of 5 and 10 are invited to the Royal Reception at the Fairbanks Library on February 9 at 4:30 pm in celebration of Valentine's Day.
