Let's go to the movies!

Movies have just begun in this sparkling movie directed by Martin Scorsese.  This magical adventure of a boy who doesn't want to truly say goodbye to his father is sure to make hearts melt or in this case start ticking away.  Join us on Wednesday, July 18th at 3:30 pm for this "inventive" edition of the PG & Up program.

Mahna-Mahna!

No drums!  No drums!  Jack Black said no drums!  

Don't worry Animal. There won't be any drums at the program on Wednesday, July 11th at 3:30.  But we will be watching a movie that has you and Jack Black in it.  So go ahead and come on in, and bring your friends.

Teen time this summer

This summer the teens are watching movies every Monday at 3:30pm. This coming Monday (july2) we are watching a blockbuster movie where the new Spock meets the old and we discover exactly how Kirk cheated on the unwinnable test. Twists and turns abound in this alternate timeline and we are introduced to the new/old crew of the Starship Enerprise.

Marble Painting!

Join us on Tuesday, June 26 at 3 pm for marble painting.  It should a rolling good time!  Kid's 6 to 12 will get the most out of this program but everyone is welcome!

A Day at the Beach

Give the kids a day at the beach...at the library!  All kids in grades k-5 are welcome to come and join us Tuesday, June 12th @ 3pm for crafts with sand and shells.

Return of the Snake Man!

Get ready for The Snake Man!  Join us for this special even on Tuesday, June 5 at 3:00pm and 4:00pm!  Space is limited and the Snake Man is incredibly popular so come an hour early to get your tickets into the program.  Last year was a blast  and there were many slithery and creepy crawly pals for your kids to meet!  This program is kids who have completed Kindergarten up to about 12 years old.

Pride and Prejudice Meets Bollywood!

Come watch this Bollywood version of Pride and Prejudice at Teen Time on Monday, May 21 at 4 pm.  Mrs. Bakshi is desperate to find suitable husbands for her four daughters and when rich gentlemen, Balraj and Darcy come to the area her hopes soar.

 

All teens are welcome and snacks will be provided.

Art Car Time!

It's time for the annual Houston Art Car Parade.  Join us in the Kid's Zone at Sam Houston Park this Saturday, May 12 at 11 am for lots of crafts and fun, not to mention HCPL's own Art Carts!
