Family Storytime

Have the kids been missing storytime? We will be hosting Family Storytimes at the following locations: 


Starting September 26th, we will have Tuesday and Thursday storytimes at 11:00 am at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church. These are fun, family storytimes for all ages! Holy Comforter Episcopal Church is located at 2322 Spring Cypress Road Spring, Texas 77388.


We will also have fun family storytimes at 10:00am on Mondays at Half Price Books. Half Price Books is located in the North Oaks Shopping Center at 4685 Cypress Creek Pkwy, Houston, TX 77069.


We hope you can join us! We miss our storytime kiddos!

Library Programs Happening in Community

Good Afternoon Everyone! While we are closed for repairs, some of our programs will still be happening. We will keep you posted here, on Twitter, and on Facebook. At the moment, we have the following programs scheduled:

Journaling: Monday, Sept. 18th at 3:30pm. Please contact us via Facebook for location information.

Spanish Class with Oscar: Thursdays at 2pm. Spanish classes will be held at the Memorial Chase Clubhouse (9411 Landry Blvd, Spring, TX 77379).

Boxes needed - Barbara Bush Library ONLY

Good Afternoon Everyone. Please be advised that this message pertains to the Barbara Bush Library only.

We are asking the community to bring sturdy boxes to the Barbara Bush Branch Library. The ideal size is 17 1/4 x 11 1/4 x 9 15/16. You can deliver boxes to the back loading dock of the library TOMORROW, SATURDAY 9/2 from 9am to 1pm.

At this time, we cannot have any volunteers in the building, but if the need arises, we will post here.

If you have books to return, please hold onto them for the time being. Late fees will not be charged.

Evening Book Club

Come Write With Us!

Everyone is invited to this beginner's writing group to be held on Monday, August 21st from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Participants write a few pages each time in response to suggested prompts, and share if they wish in an informal setting. We will be meeting in the Women's Council of Realtors Conference Room located on the 2nd floor.

Program Break - Children's

Please note that in order to provide time for staff to prepare for school year programs, we will be taking a short break from our regular programs and storytimes. We'll be back September 5th with lots of fun storytimes and activities!

A Pint for a Pint

We will be hosting another Blood Drive on August 11th from 10:30am-3pm! This time, the Donor Coach will be parked in the parking lot. Everyone that attempts to donate will receive a voucher for a FREE pint of Blue Bell ice cream!

Fantasy Football 101

There are still openings for our #FantasyFootball101 class happening on July 31st at 7pm.

To succeed in fantasy football, you will need the business shrewdness of a general manager, the knowledge of a pro scout, and the strategy of a head coach. Fantasy football allows you to compose and control your own team of NFL players. Learn the fundamentals of the game and discover where you can play different types of fantasy football to compete against friends and/or strangers.

Quidditch Team visiting Barbara Bush Library!

Next Saturday, July 29th from 10:30am-11:30am, The League City Legends will be demonstrating their Quidditch skills! Join us in the library parking lot for a fun filled morning of all things Quidditch!
