Happy Horror-Days!

I'm sure you're all in full holiday mode just as I am. When I'm not baking cookies or shopping for presents, I'm trying to relax. What better way to do that then with a good holiday horror? For your horrific holiday needs, I present a collection of holiday horrors sure to scare even Santa away!

October Dreams

Halloween is one of my absolute favorite holidays. When October comes around, I love to immerse myself inall things Halloween. Luckily for me (and you), there's a book for that!

Morganville Vampires

"'Run first,' Shane said. 'Mourn later.' It was the perfect motto for Morganville."

Claire just moved to Morganville, Texas to attend college. After a nearly fatal encounter with the resident mean girl, Claire finds a place to live off campus. In her new digs, Claire learns that Morganville is a tiny town with a very big secret.

The 1970s: A Great Decade for Horror Lovers.

The 1970s might be my favorite decade of horror. Horror films in the 1970s were all about using your imagination against you. I remember how terrified I was when I first saw The Exorcist and all the games my mind played on me after. As a teen, I devoured the original novels that these movies were based on and was scared all over again! Every now and then I like to pick up a good old horror and enjoy the terror.

Here are some of my favorite horror novels with a 1970s film release for your reading and viewing pleasure!

NOS4A2 by Joe Hill

“Fantasy was always only a reality waiting to be switched on.”

Vic lives in two worlds. One world is where her father abuses her mother and life sucks. The other is where fantasy becomes reality by way of her bike and a bridge. There are others like Vic who can transform reality into fantasy. One person in particular, Charlie Manx, uses this gift to kidnap children. Vic has been warned about Mr. Manx but that doesn't stop her from seeking him out.

Years after that meeting with Charlie Manx, Vic is trying to move on with life. Charlie Manx has not forgotten about Vic and will stop at nothing to get to her...

Summer Horrors!

Summer Reading is upon us and like many of you, I need a stack of books to read while I'm laying out on the beach. The following horrors take place during the summer or incorporate summer activities like camping.
