Undead by Kirsty McKay

It's October and Halloween is only 22 days away! I've already started decorating my house and putting finishing touches on my costumes. Ever since I started watching The Walking Dead, I've gotten into a zombie kick and wanted to share my recent horror read with you.

Hilarious Horrors!

Lately, I can't seem to get interested in my usual horror and I've been on the search for a book that can hold my attention for longer than two pages.

We Have a Winner at the Barbara Bush Library!

Lynn Jones, shown here with her daughter Zoe, is the winner of a $30 Amazon gift card as a prize drawing from those who completed the Adult Summer Reading Program. Her name was drawn at random from among all participants at Barbara Bush Library who read at least 5 books or 600 minutes during the summer. When Lynn was told she won, she was surprised yet extremely excited. Lynn is an avid reader and has passed on her love of books to her kids. The summer  reading program gives her a chance to share her likes with others as well as see what others are reading.

Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake

I just finished Kendare Blake's Girl of Nightmares, the sequel to Anna Dressed in Blood, and cannot wait to share it with you. If you haven't read Anna Dressed in Blood, beware there wi

American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis

Hello horror lovers! I've decided to try something new every month. I am going to start reading horror novels that were later turned into some of my all time favorite horror movies. Sounds fun, right!

Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore

Good Afternoon book lovers! The summer is quickly coming to an end and I've got another read for you with Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore.

Amy and Phin Goodnight have been asked to take care of their Aunt Hyacinth's farm while she's out of town. Normally, this would be a strenuous albeit boring task but Amy and Phin Goodnight are anything but normal. Descending from a long line of witches, Phin uses science to explore paranormal activities and Amy has an affinity for ghosts.

The Walking Dead: Volume 1, Days Gone Bye

It's that time again for another horrifying read! I present you this week with The Walking Dead: Volume 1, Days Gone Bye by Robert Kirkman. Many of you know The Walking Dead from the TV show that currently airs on AMC. I just recently watched the first season and thought I'd give the graphic novel a try.

Graveminder

Hello fellow readers! Hope you are all enjoying the rain and reading lots of books! Today’s chilling treat is Melissa Marr’s Graveminder. In Graveminder, we meet Rebekkah Barrow who left Claysville ten years ago and never thought of returning, until her grandmother dies. As a young child, Rebekkah observed her grandmother, Maylene, engaging in strange rituals with the dead.
