Yoga Classes @ Your Library

Did you know we offer a variety of free yoga classes at the library? Our current schedule of classes are: 

Tuesdays @ 6pm: Yoga for Self Care

Thursdays @ 12:30pm: Yoga for Mind & Body

Fridays @3pm: Yoga with Rosa

You don't have to register. Just show up, bring a yoga mat or towel, and participate. Don't forget to stay hydrated during this warm summer weather.

Journal Group Meeting

Join us on Monday, August 19th at 1:30pm for our Journal Group. Participants write a few pages each time in response to suggested prompts, and share if they wish in an informal setting.

Program Break

The Barbara Bush Library will be on a brief programming break as we prepare our programs for Fall! The programming break starts today, August 12th, and will continue through Saturday August 24th. 

Programming and Storytimes will resume on Monday, August 26th.

Fantasy Football 101

To succeed in fantasy football, you will need the business shrewdness of a general manager, the knowledge of a pro scout, and the strategy of a head coach. Fantasy football allows you to compose and control your own team of NFL players.

Learn the fundamentals of the game and discover where you can play different types of fantasy football to compete against family, friends and/or strangers.

Green Thumb Gardening Series: Fall Vegetables

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Harris County Master Gardeners are pleased to offer the Green Thumb Gardening Series of Lectures.

Wags & Tales returns

Wags and Tales is coming back for our Fall Semester! Next Wednesday, August 7th at 4:30 come meet, love, and read to our lovely furry friends! It's going to be PAW-SOME!

This is a ticketed event. Tickets are limited to 20 and will be handed out 15 minutes prior to the start of the event.

Pen & Paintbrush Book Discussion

The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts, in partnership with the Barbara Bush Branch Library, presents the Pen and Paintbrush Book Discussion on Thursday, August 8, 2019 in the museum's Northgate Forest Conference Room.

Pen & Paintbrush events include a discussion of a selected book, followed by a tour of current art exhibitions with a special emphasis on the common themes they share.  This event is open to all – no membership or RSVP is required!

You can join in this lively book discussion, and take a look at the Pearl's summer exhibition "My Hero! Contemporary Art & Superhero Action".

Greeting Card Craft - Adults

*This program is for adults 18 yrs+*

Join us on Saturday August 3rd for a Greeting Card Craft. We will supply the materials and help you make your own greeting card for any occasion!

Indian Dance

Watch and learn how to do a traditional Indian Dance on Thursday, July 25th at 3pm! This program will be held in the Cypress Creek Christian Church and Community Center across from the library.
