Computer classes - Special Topics

Have you taken advantage of our computer training classes?  If not, we have plenty to interest you in the month of February.  Aside from our regular classes, we have a couple of special topics.  First, if you've ever wondered how an online auction works, join us on Monday, February 7th, at 6:30 P.M. for "Navigating eBay," as we demonstrate the ins and outs of this popular website.  At 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 8th, learn how to be a safer surfer with "Keep Safe on the Internet."  All of our computer classes are free, but registration is required, so be sure and visit us or call to secure a spot.  Don't miss out on learning more about these important topics!

Blood Drive

Once again, the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be on site in the Community Room on Monday, January 31st, from 1:00 to 5:30 P.M. to received blood donations from the public.  Walk-ins are accepted, but it is encouarged to sign up ahead of time for an appointment at either the reference or children's desks or at the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center webiste here.  Don't miss out on this opportunity to give the gift of life!

Getting Organized with the Web

Have you resolved to become a little more organized in this new year?  If so, join us on Tuesday, January 25th, from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. in the Training Lab, as repeat presenter and professional organizer Ellen Delap, CPO, shows us all how to make use of the Internet in our efforts to get organized.  Spots are limited, so be sure to register by giving us a call or paying us a visit on the second floor.  Don't miss out on this free and informative session!

Merry Christmas from the Kingwood Branch Library staff!  Recently, the library hosted a food drive to benefit Humble Area Assistance Ministries.  Overall, it was a successful program.  Thanks to all of those in the public who participated and donated!
