Thursday, January 24th at 4 PM – Community Craft – Hot Glue Snowflakes [7+]

 

Hot glue is used for a variety of different purposes.

We will be using it to sculpt snowflakes of whatever shape and size that you would like.

If you want, you can even paint it.

The flurry of fun starts at 4 PM on January 24th in the Library Community Room at the Parker Williams Branch Library.  

Friday, January 18th from 4:30 PM to 6 PM - Anime Club – Zombieland Saga (TV-14) [12+]

 

Rob Zombie once sang about a living dead girl.

In Japan, we can follow the story of seven zombies as they struggle to become top idols.

Join in on the hilarity of death metal zombie idols at the Parker Williams Anime Club on January 18th in the Library Community Room at 4:30 PM. 

Wednesday, January 16th at 5 PM – STEM Time – Growing Crystals [8+]

 

 

Learn a little bit more about the crystallization that goes on when snowflakes are formed as well as be part of an experiment that will allow you to grow some crystals of your own.

 

Join us in the Room 3 at the Parker Williams Branch Library at 5 PM for a flurry of science.       

Thursday, January 10th at 5 PM – Music and Rhythm with Mr. John [3+]

 

 

Count along with the beats as this month we learn the different beats and length of notes with Mr. John.

Monday, January 7th from 6-7:30 PM – Magic: The Gathering Gameplay [8+]

 

Magic: The Gathering is a dueling card game from Wizards of the Coast.

It incorporates strategy, mythical lore, and competitive-community play.

Join us on the first Monday of January from 6PM -7:30PM on the Library Floor for a few hours of game play.

For those who would like to learn how to play, a staff member will be present to teach you.

Friday, January 4th from 4 - 6 PM – Gaming – Fortnite Tournament [8+]

 

For our community of players, we will be hosting our version of a Fortnite Tournament where we will have a 2V2 Playground match versus players here at the Parker Williams Branch.

There will be timed rotations based on the number of players we have.

This will be happening on Friday, January 4th from 4 to 6 PM in the computer lab.

If you have USB Xbox One or PS4 controller, you can bring it and hook into our computer as long as it has the USB cord attached (or USB wireless charging cord). 

Wednesday, December 19th at 6:30-7:15 PM – Santa Claus is Coming to Parker Williams [All Ages]

Friday, December 14th from 4:30 PM to 6 PM - Anime Club – Sword Art Online: Alicization (TV-14) [12+]

 

 

Join the Parker Williams Anime Club on December 14th as we start watching the continuation of the Sword Art Online story with the very next arch: Alicization.

Based on the latest light novel, we’ll follow Asuna as she figures out what happened to Kirito.

We’ll journey with Kirito as he recover’s from an attack from a former Laughing Coffin member.

Anime Club will be in the Library Community Room at 4:30 PM.
