Adults - Pick Up Your November Crafts-to-Go Kit!

Adults – stop by the upstairs Reference Desk, to pick up your own Adult Crafts-To-Go kit. We’ll be making a Ribbon & Bead Bookmark this month. This free kit will include all materials necessary as well as instructions. This project will be available to adult patrons while supplies last. Materials for this Maker program are provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.

TGIF Programs Friday Film Series Showing Arsenic and Old Lace This Friday!

The TGIF Programs Friday Film Series continues on Friday, October 30 at 10:15 AM in the Children’s Activity Space. We will be showing Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) which stars Cary Grant, Priscilla Lane, and Raymond Massey.

Saturday November 7 - Business Workshop - Attract Lenders to Fund or Grow Your Business


 

This two part workshop will introduce a variety of loan programs for small business and the 5 C’s to get the lenders approval.

You will also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a SCORE mentor to discuss your unique situation and network with other small businesses who are facing similar challenges.

TGIF Programs Heads to the Jocelyn H. Lee Innovation Lab This Friday!


Come and join TGIF Programs at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 16 in the Jocelyn H. Lee Innovation Lab for Paper Circuits. This is a chance to see paper, copper tape and LEDs combine into electronic art using a little technical knowledge and creativity.

Registration Opens Tomorrow @ 10 AM - TGIF Senior Adult Trips – Tuesday 11/10 - Old Town Spring

If you are at least 50 years old, then we hope you will join us on a special Tuesday day trip to Old Town Spring on TUESDAY, November 10, 2015. The Precinct2gether bus departs from the Freeman Library parking lot no later than 9:30 AM.

On TUESDAY, November 10, TGIF Senior Adult Trips will be making an excursion to Old Town Spring. We will enjoy a leisurely day of holiday shopping. You may choose among several unique restaurants for lunch on your own. The stores will be decorated and stocked with holiday items.

Gulf Coast Reads - Evening with Ann Weisgarber, Author of The Promise

Join us for an evening with Ann Weisgarber, author of The Promise, this year's Gulf Coast Reads selection. This event will be co-hosted by CCISD

We are pleased to host a presentation by Andrew Coleman, Historian, Digital Projects and Interpretations for the Galveston Historical Foundation.
