May Adult Programs @ Your Library

The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library looks forward to its May Programs*.  This includes under50over, book clubs (mystery, great books, and two science fiction/fantasy clubs), Adult Crafts-to-Go, and Freeman Needlecrafters. Also, we look forward to various celebrations of Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month. All programming is supported by the Friends of Freeman Library.

Movie Day - This Friday @ Your Library

Adults of all ages are invited to come to the under50over Movie Day this Friday. The title is to be announced. The movie will start at 10:15 am. Movie Day will take place in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor of the library.

Light refreshments are provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.

Learn How to Start a Small Business in Houston @ your library

The under 50over Program at Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library invites you to join us Friday, April 20th at 10:30 AM in the Marge Jacobson Community Room. A representative of the City of Houston’s One Stop Business Center speak on “Starting a Small Business. ”  They will provide basic information needed to start a small business and will be available for questions about small businesses in the Houston area.

The under50over Program at Clear Lake City-County Freeman and the University of Houston-Clear Lake (CLASP) invite you to join us Friday, April 13th at 10:30 am in the Marge Jacobson Community Room. Tom Kartrude, Executive Director of Armand Bayou Nature Center, will tell us about “The Challenge of Preserving the Past, Present and Preparing for the Future.”

April Adult Crafts-to-Go!

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library offers a new project for its “Crafts- to-Go!” program.  This April, we're making a "spring showers clip" (as seen on the right.) The project can be made anywhere. All materials needed are included within the bag, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library, while supplies last.

Learn About Vertigo and Its Causes This Friday

The under50over Program at Clear Lake City-County Freeman invites you Friday, March 23rd at 10:30 am in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor. We look forward to a presentation by Dr. Joel Berman of Bay Audiology. Dr Berman will talk about vertigo, its causes, and possible relief.

Got Cell Phone?

The under50over Program at Clear Lake City-County Freeman invites you to join us this Friday, March 16th at 10:30 am in the Marge Jacobson Community Room.  Meredith Layton, Young Adult Librarian, and teen volunteers will work with you one-on-one to help you be more comfortable using your cell phone .

Using Your Kindle, Nook, I-pad and other e-devices . . . this Friday @ your Library

The under50over Program at Clear Lake City-County Freeman welcomes you Friday, March 9th at 10:30 am in the Marge Jacobson Community Room. Learn how to download e-materials from our ‘Overdrive Catalog’ to your e-readers, smart phones, or other wireless devices. We will start out in the Community Room and break into groups according to which device you own. Moises Villasenior, Technology Training Assistant, Laura Smith and Jorie Nissen, Reference Librarians, will be helping you with the downloads.
