March Crafts-to-Go!

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library offers a new project for its “Crafts- to-Go!” program.  The March project is a scratch art butterfly (as seen on the right.) The scratch art butterfly can be made anywhere. All materials needed are included within the bag, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library, while supplies last.

How to Garden in Cylinders . . . this Friday

The under50over Program at Clear Lake City-County Freeman and the University of Houston-Clear Lake (CLASP) invite you to join us Friday, March 2nd at 10:30 am in the Children's Activity Space. Master Gardener Lewis Mickler will be talking about “Cylinder Gardening.”

March Adult Programs @ Your Library

The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library looks forward to its March Programs*.  This includes under50over,  book clubs (mystery, great books, and two different science fiction/fantasy), Adult Crafts-to-Go, Freeman Needlecrafters, and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Lineage & Genealogy Day. All programming is supported by the Friends of Freeman Library.

Movie Day - This Friday @ Your Library

Adults of all ages are invited to come to the under50over Movie Day this Friday. The title is to be announced but is part of our Black History Month celebration. The movie will start at 10:15 am. Movie Day will take place in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor of the library.

How to Download eBooks & More @ your library

The under50over Program at Clear Lake City-County Freeman welcomes you Friday, February 10th at 10:30 am in the Marge Jacobson Community Room. Laura Smith, Reference Librarian, Adult Services, will show how to download free materials from the HCPL Digital Media Catalog to your e-reader or PC.

Adult Crafts-to-Go! Celebrates Black History Month

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library’s Adult “Crafts-to-Go!” program is kicking off the Black History Month celebration on February 1st.  Our project this month is a Quilt Square Magnet. On the back of the instructions, you can read about the Underground Railroad Quilt Code. The Quilt Square Magnet project can be made anywhere. All materials needed are included within the bag, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library, while supplies last.
