TGIF Programs - Movie Day Friday

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages this Friday, March 7 to see a movie. The movie will start at 10:30 AM in the Marge Jacobson Community Room. We will be showing a 1998 adventure film starring Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes. Thurman and Fiennes portray two British agents (John Steed and Emma Peel) who team up to stop Sir August De Wynter from destroying the world with a weather changing machine.

New Adult Crafts-to-Go Project Available Beginning Tuesday, 3/4!

Beginning Tuesday, March 3, the Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library’s Adult “Crafts-to-Go!” program will make the “Leather Pony Bead Key Chain” project available. An example can be viewed to the right of this posting. All materials needed to make this key chain are within the bag.

Film for Trivia Express Showing Monday @ 6:15 PM

People of all ages are invited to join us for the Trivia Express Featured Film Series. For each Trivia Express topic, we will show a topical film. These films will be viewed in the Teen Zone on the 2nd Floor of the library. Please contact the library for the exact titles. Also, our audience will earn Trivia Express Flair for attending this showing.

Adult Services Looks Forward to March!

Please join us for Adult Programs this March* at the Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library.  We will continue with TGIF Programs, various book clubs (mystery, great books, two science fiction/fantasy clubs, and YA Book Club for Adults (online)), Freeman Needlecrafters, Adult Crafts to Go, Clear Lake Area Writers (CLAW), and SCORE Counseling.

MWA Advisors, Creator Space, and Downton Abbey programs continue. We look forward to a free concert by classical guitarist Peter Fletcher on Monday, March 10.

All Aboard Trivia Express Module #4 - Books & Reading Celebration!

Library Patrons of All Ages are invited about the Trivia Express! Trivia Express has launched Module #4 – Books and Reading Celebration! Answers to the Module #4 trivia can be researched by using resources from Harris County Public Library. The actual trivia challenge continues to be on a Google Drive maintained by Freeman Library Staff.

Celebrate African American History Month with Adult Crafts-to-Go!

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library’s Adult “Crafts-to-Go!” program is kicking off the African American History Month celebration on Tuesday, February 4.  Our project this month is a Quilt Square Magnet. On the back of the instructions, you can read about the Underground Railroad Quilt Code. The Quilt Square Magnet project can be made anywhere.
