Zumba classes coming soon to High Meadows!

Zumba consists of simple Latin dance steps put to a mixture of Latin and international music. Zumba is designed to give participants interval training; along with strengthen the body while toning it. It offers some great benefits for the body.

The High Meadows library is proud to serve the community with the introduction of Esl classes! The response of the community has been positive and the numbers continue to increase. The High Meadows staff will like to thank the volunteers for offering this opportunity to our community. Because of these efforts the classes are full

Fall Festival

The High Meadows Library  is hosting our annual fall festival on October 24th. Come and join the fun Saturday from 1:00pm to  4:00pm. Several activies including Arts 'n Crafts, Cookie Decorating ,A Bookwalk And a special movie presentation 2:30pm see you there

Learning to read, write and speak English opens up many doors

Help someone gain these opportunities! High Meadows Branch Library, located at 4500 Aldine Mail Route, will host a training session on Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for volunteers who would like to help adults gain literacy skills for work purposes, to help their children in school, or for countless other uses. After the training session, volunteers can meet individually or with a small group of students once or twice per week. Second language ability is not required for tutors, and materials including lesson activities are provided.
