Musical Petting Zoo Today!

Afternoon Adventures will have a musical petting zoo today at 1:30 pm for school-age kids. Students will get a chance to explore and play different instruments.

Super Summer Reading 2015

The Summer Reading Program starts Monday, June 1 and we are ready for a super exciting summer for everyone. Register online or at the library and let the adventure begin! 

Come Fly With Me!

Today's Monday Maker science will be making paper airplanes and testing how far they will go. The program is for kids in KIndergarten and upper grades. Come try it out!

River,Roads and Rails

On Monday, April 20 at 4:30 pm the Monday Makers school age program will explore suspension bridge engineering with recycled materials. They will also play River, Roads and Rails, a Ravensburger game where they will learn observation skills, matching, recognition and association. This program last about 45 minutes.

Rainbow Jar Science Experiment

 On Monday March 16 at 4:30 pm the kids science experiment will explore the properties of color. The program is geared for kids ages 6-11. See you then.

Black History Month

 Come celebrate Black History Month in style! On Friday, February 20 at 1 PM, the Maud Marks Library will celebrate the contributions of African Americans to our nation's culture. Taylor High School Jazz Band will be here to give a short concert. Afterwards, join us for some African crafts and soul food as we learn all about African American culture.

Green Thumb Gardening

Master Gardeners of Harris County hosts its free monthly gardening series on Saturday, January 17 at 10 am.

Come learn all about composting.

Children's Holiday Storytimes

For the next two weeks our children's programs will be the following:

Infant Storytime on Tuesday @ 10:30 AM and

Preschool Storytime/Explorers on the Wednesday @ 10:30 only.

Early Voting Information

Early voting for the November 4 election begins October 20 and runs through October 31. You will need a photo ID in order to cast a ballot.  The early voting  locations near the library are:
