The Summer Reading Program ends Saturday, August 7th.  If adults have signed up online and recorded at least 4 books this summer their name will be entered in a drawing for an Amazon gift card.  Children who have recorded at least 10 books and teens who have recorded at least 5 books should visit the library to by August 7th to receive a prize of a free book.

Title to be discussed: The Elephant Keeper. by Christopher Nicholson.  Date of meeting: Tuesday, August 10, 6:30pm.  Summary: In 18th century England, a young Tom Page begins to care for a pair of elephants.  Through the years he continues his devotion to the animals as they move from master to master.

Title discussed: A Northern Light, by Jennifer Donnelly.  Date of Meeting: Tuesday, August 3, 2pm.  Summary: In 1906, sixteen-year-old Mattie, determined to attend college and be a writer against the wishes of her father and fiance, takes a job at a summer inn where she discovers the truth about the death of a guest. Based on a true story, the same story that inspired Theodore Dreiser's "An American Tragedy".  This book is on the Memorial High School reading list, 9th grade.

Wednesday, July 21, 3pm and repeated at 4pm.  Your favorite clown, Ronald McDonald will delight you with this fun-filled magic show!  Free!  Tickets available 30 minutes before show time.  Children must be able to sit through the program without a parent present.  Ages 6 and up.

Hope you were one of many who enjoyed Marsha's Petting Zoo, By the Reading Garden, Tuesday, July 13, 10-12am.  It was your chance to pet cute, clean animals including ducks, lambs, bunnies, llamas, potbelly piglets and more!  All ages welcome!
