This Is the Big Sale!

PlantsBooksThe Plant and Book Festival is Friday, March 22, 10am-5pm and Saturday, March 23, 10am-4pm.  The Friends of the Library have prepared a great sale featuring plants for your home and yard as well as a variety of books for all ages and interests.  Check out the auction of collectible books and the coupon board for local businesses.  Refreshments provided by Sweet Tomatoes.

Western Storytime Brings out Cowpokes

cowpokesStorytime is always fun!  These cowpokes attended the Western Day storytime.  Make plans to attend an uncoming storytime.  The times are:  Babytime, Wednesday 10am; Toddler Time Wednesday 11am and repeated Thursday 10am; and Preschool Time, Thursday 11am.

Spring Branch-Memorial--The Page Turners

From Baghdad, With LoveTitle to be discussed:  From Baghdad, With Love, by Jay Kopelman. Date of meeting: Tuesday, April 9. 6:30pm.  Summary: " During his tour of duty in Iraq, LtCol Jay Kopelman of the U.S. Marines endured the emotional stress common for those involved in bloody battles for freedom. Although the rules forbid pets, Kopelman and his comrades adopted an abandoned puppy left behind after the battle for Fallujah. The dog (named Lava) befriended the Marines and journalists, and was eventually smuggled out of Iraq."

St. Patrick's Day Celebration!

St Patrick's DayCelebrate Spring Break and St. Patrick's Day!   Play games and make a couple of the variety of crafts.  Eat green snacks and drink green punch. Thursday, March 14, 3:30 pm. Ages 5 and up.  And wear Green!

 

 

Donated Books Needed

donate booksNow is the time to donate gently used books and DVD's for the Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale.  Bring your books and DVD's during regular library hours.  The Plant and Book Sale will be March 22 and 23 and the Friends need some time to get everything ready.

Black History Program

Black HistoryLearn about 7 famous African-Americans and why they were famous.  Games!  Snacks!  Thursday, February 21, 3:30pm.  Ages 5 and up.

 

Family Day Celebration
