It's Murder and Sweets!

Next Wednesday, May 21 at 2 pm the Just Desserts Mystery Book Club will be meeting here at Maud Marks.  We will be discussing The Girl is Murder by Kathryn Haines.  Iris Anderson is only 15 and wants to help her dad with his detective agency. (sound familiar Veronica Mars fans?) This is the first in the series so you don't want to miss out.  Add to the fun by bringing your favorite dessert to eat while we discuss whether the villains got their "just desserts!"

The Gift Everyone can Use

Do you know people who are hard or impossible to buy for?  Maybe they have everything! Maybe you don't know them that well.  Maybe you don't know their tastes.  Well, there is one gift that everyone can use. Money.  It is the perfect gift when you don't know what to give.  Wouldn't it be nice to have a special way to give money.

Beautiful Eggs

I know it's still March, but I'm already thinking about Easter.  I'm all excited about making these beautiful Ukrainian Easter Eggs!  They are very labor intensive but well worth the effort.  Tuesday, April 8th from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm we will be learning how to make these wonderful eggs!  Notice the extended meeting time.  We will need extra time to finish these eggs.  I will provide whole, raw eggs, and everything else you need.  You are welcome to bring a blown out egg to decorate if you are uncomfortable about keeping a raw egg.  I assure you it is safe and will dry out in the shell and will not stink!  Space is limited so you will have to sign up here

Luck o' the Irish

Here it is March already and the world is starting to turn green.  Reminds me of the Emerald Isle! Almost. Let's give the green a big boost by making some green shamrock coasters for St.
