Jabberwocky Jake!

This variety show will also feature magic and two lucky young attendees will get the honor of the DJ experience-you could be a guest DJ! Summer Reading Wrap-Up!

It's time to wrap up Summer Reading-log those titles, minutes, program attendance, and reviews! Registration is still open for babies, children, teens and adults through Saturday, August 4. Just click on Summer Reading on our homepage at www.hcpl.net to sign up yourself or your whole family...You can read anything you choose and listening counts too! Challenger 7 Memorial Park: Birds!

Meet a wide variety of birds Wednesday, July18 at 3pm & 4pm when the Traveling Naturalist from Challenger 7 Memorial Park presents two programs for kids ages 4 and up. Free tickets are required for the program which will be held in the Public Meeting Room. Tickets are available for pick-up beginning at 10am on the day of the program. Some of the birds you will possibly see include a dove, soncure, and quail. Learn all about them and hear their natural music making abiilities! 

Magic Show!

You won't believe your eyes on Wednesday, June 20 at 3pm when John O'Bryant's performs spell-binding illusions during his Magic Show! Excitement and comedy combine in this professional show right here at North Channel Branch. This program will be held in the Children's Area and no tickets are required. Recommended for ages 4 and up.

Asian Pacific Heritage Storytime

Celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage Month with a special Storytime Wednesday, May 9 at 4:30 pm when Mr. Joel will be our guest Storyteller. Hear themed stories and create your own colorful Asian elephant puppet keepsake!Enjoy themed refreshments too...This program will be presented in the Public Meeting Room and is recommended for ages 3 and up.

Earth Day Craft: Monster Planters!

Celebrate Earth Day 2018 with us on Wednesday, April 18 at 4:30pm when you can create your own Monster Planter! We'll use upcycle water bottles for this earth-friendly craft-you'll even go home with a flowering keepsake to go inside...This craft program is recommended for ages 4-12 years and will be located in the Public Meeting Room.

Para los Ninos/For the Children: How Does It Work?

Join us Wednesday, March 21 at 4:30pm for "How Does It Work?", part of the Para los Ninos/For the Children Series when we'll explore beginning science concepts through exciting activities! Activities are developed by the Children's Museum of Houston and feature bilingual elements on the subjects of balance, sound, magentism, electrical circuits, and more...Famillies attending will receive a free pass to the museum good for at least 4 persons. Storybook Opera

 Head to the North Channel Library for some Spring Break entertainment! On Wednesday, March 14 at 2:30pm & 3:30pm we will host Bantam of the Opera by Storybook Opera.

Monday Movie Madness

 What happens when an outcast emoji goes on a journey across various apps in this comedy set inside a smartphone? Find out when you join us Monday, December 4 at 4:30pm when we will show the Emoji Movie on our big screen! This feature is Rated PG and is 1 hour and 31 minutes in length and is recommended for ages 4 and up. Public Meeting Room. No tickets needed.
