November Kid's Craft

Can you name a Native American Indian tribe from the Southeast Alaskan coast? This tribe also goes by the name of Kolosh, Lingit, or "People of the Tides"...Join us this Wednesday, November 11 at 4:30pm for our November Kid's Craft where we'll explore some seasonal arts and crafts by spraying watercolor paint to make turkey decorations and also make a Tlingit Whale art craft with cut paper.  Enjoy some Native American inspired snacks too! Monday Movie @N.Channel Branch

Did you know there's an emotional roller coaster going on inside your head? No? Then join us Monday, November 9 at 4:30 pm when we'll  watch Disney Pixar Studio's Inside Out and find out! The movie will be shown in our Public Meeting Room on the big screen.  Don't forget your pillows, blankets, snacks and/or light colored drinks! Trick or Treat@N.Channel Branch!

Are you looking for some spooky Halloween Fun? Then wear your costume and join us here at North Channel Library on Thursday, October 29 at 4:30 for a special Puppet Pizzazz! Halloween themed shadow & giant puppetry show for all ages...We'll finish up with a costume parade around the stacks and through the library, and there will be candy  treats too! We're Going Batty at N.Channel Storytime!

 Are you ready for Halloween? Hear all about creepy bats & spooky spiders this week...Preschool Storytime is a weekly program, every Tuesday at 1:30 pm, for children 3 -6 years and their parents or care-givers that encourages pre-literacy . Are your children younger? Then join us for Toddler Time (recommended for 18 months to 3 years),every Tuesday at 10:30 am, or Baby Time (recommended for ages 0 -18 months) every Thursday at 10:30 am...It's never too early to encourage pre-literacy! Steam Camp:

Do you ever find yourself asking, "How Does it Work?" Find out at this week's STEAM Camp/Family Night Monday evening from 6-7pm when we'll discover and explore the science behind magnets, catapults and kazoos too! The activities were developed by the Children's Museum, as part of the Children/Para los Ninos series, with bilingual instructions for ages 6 and up. Don't miss this fun and exciting parent/child workshop!

STEAM Camp: 3-D Printing!


Would you like to see a 3-D printer in action? Then drop by North Channel Branch this evening, Monday September 28 at 6pm for STEAM Camp! It's your last chance to view the touring 3-D printer h for now...so don't miss it. Staff will demonstrate, run the printer, and distribute give-away items like little minecraft and robot trinkets! STEAM Camp is usually recommended for ages 8 and up, however, anyone interested in learning about this new and advancing technology is welcome. The program will be held in the Public Meeting Room. Tween Minecraft Magnet Craft

Calling all tweens! If you're around 10-12 years old be sure to stop by North Channel Branch this Wednesday, August 26 at 4:30pm...We will be making Minecraft fuse bead magnets! Our superhero fun wraps up this Saturday, August 8! Don't forget to collect your reading prize by then and be sure to keep your superhero powers all year long by continuing to read and listen to books! Captain America's Reading Show!

Captain America is visiting North Channel Library this Wednesday, July 29 at 2:30pm! Steve Rogers will be here to talk about reading, his super hero friends and show off some of the coolest technology ever invented like x-ray glasses that can read words inside a closed book and a scientific trick that makes hulk slime!
