Teen Advisory Group: April 27

What’s the Teen Advisory Group? It’s a group of teens that hangout once a month and plan what programs we do and prepare for next month’s craft. Help brainstorm ideas and use the button machine to make buttons for next month’s Button Battle!

Kingwood Library's 5th Birthday Party

The Kingwood Library is turning 5 years old! Join us to celebrate this momentous occasion on April 21st starting at 1:00PM.

TEENS: Anime Club

Are you an anime and manga fanatic? Come to the Kingwood Library’s Anime Book Club, where you can geek out with other fans about the latest anime you’re watching. April’s Anime Club meets on Tuesdays, April 14 & 28 @ 4:30 PM in the 1st floor Meeting Room. We will have snacks and watch some anime!

TEENS: Magnetic Poetry Craft

Create a custom set of magnetic poetry at the Kingwood Library! Decorate your locker or fridge with your craft. Rearrange to make a different poem every time! Join us in the Teen Area on Tuesday, April 7 @ 4:30. Can’t make it to the craft? Stop by the Teen Area the week after the craft to pick up your Teen Takeout—at takeout box filled with supplies and instructions.*

Teen Advisory Group: March 23

March’s Teen Advisory Group is right around the corner! Join us in the 2nd floor Conference Room on March 23 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM to brainstorm teen program ideas and prepare for next month’s events. At this month’s TAG, we’re coming up with ideas for Summer Reading and making buttons for next month’s button battle.

PS4 vs. Xbox One Button Battle

The button battle is back! March’s epic battle is between gaming platforms PS4 and Xbox One. Which console is better? You decide! Stop by the Teen Area to pick your button and cast your vote. Only one can win, and it’s up to you to chose a winner.

Kingwood Anime Book Club


Are you an anime and manga fanatic? Come to the Kingwood Library’s Anime Book Club, where you can geek out with other fans about the latest anime you’re watching. March’s Anime Club meets on Tuesdays, March 17 & 31 @ 4:30 PM in the 1st floor Meeting Room. We will have snacks and watch some anime!

New PS4s at the Kingwood Library!

Thanks to the generosity of Friends of the Library-Kingwood (FOLK), the Game Room in the Teen Area is now home to two PlayStation4's! Gamestop in Atascocita helped to set us up with some great games to go along with it, including Minecraft, Madden NFL 15, inFAMOUS Second Son, among many more! We also have some new games for the PS3 and Wii!

Discovery Dome Presents: The X-Planets!

The Discovery Dome is taking over the library this Spring Break! Join us on Thursday, March 12 @ 2:30 for an immersive and realistic presentation from the Houston Museum of Natural Science. A giant full-dome indoor theater will fill the Meeting Room for a presentation on the over 700 discovered planets that could support life similar to Earth.

Hey teens! Don't sit at home this spring break--come to the library! We have some really exciting events coming up, including a 3D Printer Minecraft presentation for Teen Tech Week, a giant Discovery Dome planetarium, and a masquerade!
