Thank you Crosby Volunteer Fire Department!

Boy and Girl in Fire TruckOur hometown heroes from the Crosby Volunteer Fire Department came to the library today and let our story time kids look at a fire truck and some gear up close and personal! Besides exploring the truck, we read stories, sang songs, and had a firefighter relay.  Come and join the fun as we learn about other hometown heroes every Thursday at 10:30 am!

Enter and Win: Weekly Drawings During Summer Reading!

Bunny and Board BookEvery Friday, from now until August 7, we will be having a drawing for all sorts of cool stuff. This Friday we are giving away a board book version of Guess How Much I Love You with a matching plush bunny. Stop by the library each week to see what we will be giving away next! There will be something appealing to nearly everyone sometime during the summer.

Be a Hero! Help Us Collect Soda Bottles!

Soda BottleWe are in the process of collecting materials for our fantastic summer reading program, "Every Hero Has a Story".  One of our craft projects this summer is to recycle 2 liter soda bottles into a fun game!  Can you help us collect bottles for this craft? Just drop off clean, un-crushed bottles at the circulation desk any time we are open.  Thanks for being a hero!

3-D Printer Demonstration @ the Crosby Branch Library

What would you make if you were limited only by time and imagination?  Come and see some of the things that have already been made with the 3-D printers at the Harris County Public Library and learn more about this amazing technology! The demonstration will be held Saturday, April 25th at 2:00 pm in the Meeting Room.

The Crosby Branch Library will have its annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 31st at 10:30 am. We will read stories and then hunt for eggs! After collecting the eggs, light refreshments will be served. Bringing a basket from home is helpful, but not required.

Alice in Wonderland Now Showing @ Your Library

Mad Hatter from Alice in WonderlandIn honor of Lewis Carroll's birthday (January 27) and the 150th anniversary of the book, Alice in Wonderland, come join us for the live-action movie version starring Johnny Depp.  The movie will be shown on Monday, January 26th at 4:00 pm. Free popcorn and drinks!
