Our hometown heroes from the Crosby Volunteer Fire Department came to the library today and let our story time kids look at a fire truck and some gear up close and personal! Besides exploring the truck, we read stories, sang songs, and had a firefighter relay. Come and join the fun as we learn about other hometown heroes every Thursday at 10:30 am!
Every Friday, from now until August 7, we will be having a drawing for all sorts of cool stuff. This Friday we are giving away a board book version of Guess How Much I Love You with a matching plush bunny. Stop by the library each week to see what we will be giving away next! There will be something appealing to nearly everyone sometime during the summer.
Come and find a new favorite from our terrific selection of used books, just in time for summer reading! Sale hours are Friday, June 5th, 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
We are in the process of collecting materials for our fantastic summer reading program, "Every Hero Has a Story". One of our craft projects this summer is to recycle 2 liter soda bottles into a fun game! Can you help us collect bottles for this craft? Just drop off clean, un-crushed bottles at the circulation desk any time we are open. Thanks for being a hero!
What would you make if you were limited only by time and imagination? Come and see some of the things that have already been made with the 3-D printers at the Harris County Public Library and learn more about this amazing technology! The demonstration will be held Saturday, April 25th at 2:00 pm in the Meeting Room.
The Crosby Branch Library will have its annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 31st at 10:30 am. We will read stories and then hunt for eggs! After collecting the eggs, light refreshments will be served. Bringing a basket from home is helpful, but not required.
If you ever wanted to know more about your family's roots, then we have a great new computer class for you! We will show you how to effectively use the library's databases as well as some popular, free Internet sites. Join us this Tuesday, February 24th and Thursday, February 26th at 3:00 pm.
Who do you know that needs a little love? We provide boxes, pictures, and glue. You provide the creativity and TLC. We will be hosting this craft for adults, teens and tweens on Monday, February 9th at 4:00 pm.
