Traveling Naturalist

Do you know what animals are prey and what animals are predators in the area where you live? Would you like to find out? Then come join us at the Alvin D. Baggette Community Center Thursday, July 28th at 3 pm, for our Amazing Animals program. A Traveling Naturalist with the Challenger Seven Learning Center will be bringing live animals and talking about these incredible animal. This is a ticketed event, so please pick up your free ticket at the circulation desk in the library starting on Monday, July 25th. You must have your ticket present to attend this program. One ticket per child while tickets last.

Kids, your favorite magic show is back! Ronald McDonald will be at the Alvin D. Baggett Community Center tomorrow Thursday, July 30th at 4:00 pm for his well-loved reading magic show. Toro from the Houston Texas will be here!

Hey Kids, Toro will be at the Alvin D. Baggett Community Center for our Summer Reading Program this Thursday, June 23rd at 4:00 pm!! Toro will be showing us how we can be get fit and stay active just like the football players do. This is a ticketed event. Tickets are free and available at the front desk of the Galena Park Library. Meditaion for Healthy Living

Then join us this Monday, June 13th at 4:00 in the Galena Park Branch Meeting Room for our “Meditation for Healthy Living” program. Do you like to read and discuss books? Then join the Galena Park Book Club! For the month of May we will  read "Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker" by Jennifer Chiaverini and will be discussing this magnificent novel on Monday, May 23rd at 4:00 pm in the meeting room. Chronicles of Yarnia

Would you like to learn how to knit or crochet? Or do you have a knitting and crocheting project but would like to join a group for new ideas? Then come join our Chronicles of Yarnia knitting and crocheting program at the Galena Park Library meeting room this Thursday at 10 am. You may bring your own needles, hooks and yarn or some will be provided while supplies last. This program is designed for adults.
