Tax forms at the Library

Come pick up your tax forms from the library.  You can also visit the government website at www.irs.gov, and print out the forms you need to complete your tax return.  If you can't find the forms you are looking for, please don't hesitate to ask us for assistance!

West University Storytime

storytimeCome join our Preschool Story Time every Tuesday at 10:30am!  It is recommended for children ages 2-6, and  features stories, songs, and motion.  This Tuesday the theme will be about dogs!

The staff at West University Library wishes you a very Happy New Year!  We will be closed on Friday, January 1st, but will be open again on Saturday.  We hope to see you all in 2010!

DoraWest University Library resident Dora, will be on vacation next week.  She will be visiting our Children's Librarian, Libby Nelson, and will be staying with her for the holidays.  Dora wishes you all a very Happy Holiday!

Toys for Tots

We are pleased to announce that West University Library is a drop-off location for Toys for Tots this holiday season.  Please donate new, unwrapped toys, so that they may be destributed as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community.  Happy Holidays!

Book Club Selection for January 6

Title to be discussed:The Remains of the Day, by Kazuo Ishiguro.  Date of meeting: Wednesday January 6, 11:00 am, at 6104 Auden.  Summary: "The novel's narrator, Stevens, is a perfect English butler who tries to give his narrow existence form and meaning through the self-effacing, almost mystical practice of his profession.

Meet the ballerinas of the Nutcracker

Come listen to the timeless story of the Nutcracker, on December 2 at 3:15pm, read by a ballerina from the Houston Ballet. Meet several other dancers in costume. Refreshments served. For children ages 4 years and up.
